bit concerned about swandogs welfare, he hasn't hung around ozfooty, generally he's crowing like a rooster but no posts recently. where are you swanmutt. look, to give some credence to the black mud ducks, young legs peter out towards the end of the season. swanmutt, its not all that bad.

Screemar I don't think you need to worry about Swandog or any other Swans' supporter; we will be back supporting our club next week (even in Bunbury).

I would like to congratulate all Swans's supporters who have shown remarkable restraint.

We are missing some key personnel and some others need to get back to how we were playing at the start of the year.

It also should be noted that given all the scribes had us finishing last I must congratulate the boys on UNDERACHIEVING with respect to that target.

pretty hard to think of a game in watching Swans where they have played that bad.
skill level was pathetic, quite a few blokes were selfish and didnt put in at at if they didnt win the footy, no 2nd efforts and I would be sending Jukes back to the reserves for not passing to Notte 40 metres in space near goals, selfish footy is not needed.
big Blakely needs a rest and quite a few others looked very flat, Davis and Riggs especially.
well done to Blight who played one of his best games and with Elari, Jetts and Ugle never stopped trying.

I will thank West Perth for playing the way they did and stopped us from losing by 20 goals, the stats were 438 to 315 and 172 marks to 59 yet only won by 10 goals.
that passage of play where they kicked it to themselves for 5 minutes without trying to score meant i could get a coffee and come back and the ball still hadnt gone inside the WP 50.
strange footy from a side looking to make the finals and get precentage.

who are you missing 42 that would have had an impact on the result and how much closer do you think your mob would have been if you had those guys?

Just a couple of points before I forget about this game and start focussing on next weeks clash in Bunbury

1. HBF Arena is a great place to watch footy, the ground is in good nick and crowd really get into it. Even though I wasn't enjoying what was happening on the field it was still very pleasant basking in the sun. I caught the train to Joondalup Station and it is a bit of a hoof from there to the ground which didn't worry me but I was wondering if the WPFC would consider putting on some shuttle buses to and from the station especially considering some Senior Citizens who might like to come along but find the walk a little tiring? Just a thought. Maybe there is a Transperth service but I just didn't see it.

2. Swans half time score of 0-1 ( which was a rushed behind) got me thinking about whether they had ever failed to score in an entire half. I can't remember it happening while I have been supporting them but maybe in the early days of the club when they were perennial cellar dwellars. Don't know if your stats cover this WAFL Footy Facts?

Simmo and Cass from our backline exacerbated by the loss of Ames to mention a couple.

Fully agree with MO the 59 point loss flattered Swans; conversely it was extraordinary to see what West Perth did with their chipping 20 metres back and forth in the backline when they had complete and utter domination of the game. Strange to say the least.

modern footy is certainly strange, I cant ever recall Swans playing as bad in terms of skill and effort from a lot of players yet we only lost by 10 goals.
in the 80's it could have been a 120+ point loss going by the amount of footy WP had and Swans gave it back to them anyway when we did win it.

I was at a loss at what WP were trying to achieve but it at least gave me a chance to get a coffee without missing any action.

It was appalling what Jukes did and I know BH has been scathing of his recent performances - however, and without knowing whether he has been put on notice already, I would give Jukes one last chance to turn it around. We had so many passsengers on Saturday and as I said the boys looked gutted when they came off; so give them a collective chance to redeem themselves on Satruday down at Bunbury.

dunno who to go for next weekend in Bunbury as it would be good for WART to win and keep Subi a game ahead of you blokes but I just can't bring myself around to support the stinking feral eagle's reserves...maybe a draw would be the best result. ;-)

Good idea on the Shuttle Bus Mikeh sure that wouldnt be hard. Maybe Hourly up until game start and then a run or two after the game. or even after each qtr to cater for others who might have leave after Ressies etc. Will put it to Brett. If they get half a dozen and have a volunteer driver they should get the cost back from the gates as more might come.. Maybe next year?

A few of the people around me said the point scored by SD actualy hit the behind post so it should of been a Out of bounds. I didnt see it personally.

Good to Hear Tallam Ames is ok after his concussion and ready to hit the track.
Up until the injury he as putting in 100 percent and showing a few of your young guys up.

All the best in the run home. Wouldnt be two concerned about Saturday as a week is a long time in footy and it would of been a good wakeup call for some of your players. All good. Last year we lost a couple from memory in run to finals against teams we should of beaten but got the lollies anyway.
