Back up the freeway and another game on the HBF arena after our win there about a month ago. The ground should be in better nick than other grounds in the WAFL especially Muddybank stadium and the Flowgrounds

Interesting fact. Swans have won 12 games this year, however they have only had the lead at half time in 4 of those games!! Like last week they have often played very poorly in the first half only to turn it around late in the game. A testament to the self belief in the team but also their slow starts need to be something they work on before the finals because teams like Subiaco and East Perth will make them pay on the scoreboard whereas the lower teams haven't been able to take full advantage.

Although West Perth are now out of the finals equation, Swans need to respect them as the reigning premiers and capable of upsetting anybody on their day. They put in a good effort against all the odds against the ERT in the mud and they will want to finish the season on a high to give them momentum into 2015. Also Swans need to win to keep their top 2 hopes alive.

Looks like a lovely sunny day for Saturday so augers well for a good day of footy B)

A very hard ground on the body is HBF Arena, but how every for our boys a great oval to do our thing spread and run. I'm sure the boys are mindful that West Perth have nothing to lose in this game. In saying that four quarters of form is needed here (scoreboard pressure) to sent a clear massage to East Perth, East Freo and Subiaco that we are the real deal.

Can't pick this one
The cardies might get a couple back from injury too and Swans should be close to full strength
Will be a great game I think
George your boys are the real deal & a very courageous spirited side

It is always a pleasure going to watch Swans in South Geraldton. It will be interesting to see how we start the match. We certainly need to play a good and hard 4 quarters of footy.

It will also be interesting to see if we start to settle our Colts' team and whether we play the colts' players who have been playing ressies back in the colts' team again.

That was probably the most insipid performance I have ever seen from a Swans side in a long, long time. The complete lack of run, the ability to hit a target, not to mention barely a 1 percenter shown all day was mind boggling and it just looked like we wanted a bruise free afternoon in the winter sun. To only score 1 rushed point in a half of footy was astounding to say the least. WP looked like they wanted to win far more desperately than us and ran us off our feet. Very disappointing performance.

Just back from Joondalup and feeling pretty shellshocked like 95% of Swans supporters probably are. Well done to West Perth, they were the better team on the day and now there is a small glimmer of light for them given that East Fremantle lost and those two teams play next week.

I am not a sore loser and I can tolerate it when a team outplays Swans which is what happened today. What sticks in my craw is when a team I support show up and give no effort or commitment to the contest. Make no mistake that game was an embarrassment to the Swan Districts Football club and to the players who participated in that farce this afternoon. The West Perth players were allowed to run around unimpeded for virtually the whole afternoon and I lost count of the number of uncontested possessions the opposition were allowed and times that the WP players ran into open goals. When Swans got the ball, they looked flat footed and there was no structure or teamwork in their play. The scoreboard flattered Swans because 3 of our 5 goals were in junk time in the last quarter.

There were a few moments in the third quarter when we looked like getting a few passages of play together but these were snuffed out by selfish individualism by some players. One example, Jukes running along the half forward flank, saw Notte unattended in the goal square but instead of passing to him, he tried to do it himself and ended up dribbling the ball straight to a West Perth player. They have completely lost the team play that made them so successful early in the season and without this they are a very ordinary team. They have used up all their 'get out of jail" cards unfortunately.

Mikeh Jukes has been horrendous for a few weeks now and I have never seen a player that goes to ground for absolutely no reason as much as he does. The amount of open goal chances we burnt today by either a poor kick, poor handball or just poor decision making I lost count of after the first qtr when Davo, Jukes, Swoop, Ando & Rogers all wasted easy scoring chances with abysmal skills or decision making!
