Kudos to you for educating the kids....most wouldn't . Did the same thing myself a couple of years back with a mate visiting the old grounds. You could feel the ghosts in the empty stand at Windy Hill...did grab a chunk of turf which I brought back to Perth inside a sealed sandwich bag. Now have a full square metre grown from that initial chunk which I hope will eventually be my front lawn in years to come....whatever it takes right?

Touch wood u can grow a full sized Windy Hill with that chunk of turf DW! Know what you mean about the ghosts mate......sat in a few of the grandstands trying to soak in all the emotions many a fan must of felt and expressed over the years.......would of loved to of been a fly on the wall listening to all the banter, life stories etc being told on game day.......glad I did it, probably sad to most folk, but my youngest seemed to take it all in, my eldest would of called me a sad old bastard .....

Naagh BH, in the end I caught up with a few old school mates now living in Melbourne and had a few beers instead......the youngest who is a WP fan decided the trek to Geelong was a test too far for his WP allegiance ..sorry Leedy & cardy I did try fella's!!.......from the sounds of things it was a good decision....easiest 40K WP are ever gonna make!
