I think you will find that whole 1 free kick we did receive inside our 50 for the match MO wasn't going to be paid by the umpire right on the spot either it was paid belatedly by the umpire from down the ground when the Claremont bloke charged front on straight into Anderson without even looking at the ball.
We were 'lucky' to even receive that whole 1!

Go suck on your mothballs both SF & Freo's!

BH, speaking of howlers, why did Harding leave Worobec on Bradshaw for so long? ;)

DW, love the "deathly stare" comment between the SD fan and ump, talk about wind up the ump even more to make Cl chances to win the game even better. Quite suprised Harding didnt come over to the SD fan after the game and berate him for costing SD the 4 points.......next time jump in earlier and berate him yourself DW, the umps already have SD on their black list, without some SD fan being a hero with the deathly stare making things worse

Freeze, the 60yo man I'm talkin about would have scared the Grim Reaper himself. A lot of wisdom in those eyes. Ump in question looked quite humbled by the fact someone knew his christian names. Quite chuffed he was. This moment, clearly enjoyed by the ump as well, was a quality humorous piece of WAFL banter up there with using words like 'dirty bludger'....but yeah it cost Swans the game for sure as you've said....see that fan again I will berate home for sure :silly:  :pinch:  .. I on the other hand did offer the umps a hot chip as they where ushered past in exchange for a free kick....no takers amongst those dirty scoundrels, like as if I was going to poison them

Excuse my ignorance to the lower grades this season fellas as I have to work Saturday morning shifts, but, what is happening with our colts side. They've lost a couple lately after dominating early. Besides Connor, have we been playing the young fellas up a grade as Burnham, Rudy, Manton etc get their crack in the league side.

That was our first loss in the Colts for 7 games DW!
At some point in the next 5 weeks the footy dept might have to look at settling the Colts side down with the finals in mind as about 6-8 boys have been playing up at Ressies level for the last 8 games gaining experience against the bigger bodies although Dylan Nelson would be close to getting a League game in the next few weeks following on from Jason Daniels with the form he has shown in the 2's.

Cheers BH, must hav read the scoreboard wrong at previous home game re colts, thought we'd lost that one.

Rory Lobb came outta nowhere late last year. Doc has been super impressive and soldiering on manfully in the ruck this season but going by yesterday could use some support. Do we have anyone in the wings to support him. We will need someone else if we are going to have any chance against the ERT ruck brigade. Tony Notte is the usual suspect but is better use as a swingman. Touch wood Doc doesn't get injured but I just wonder, is there a back up plan??? Faulkner seemed to cop a hard tag yesterday which he struggled to break which left us even weaker around the clearances. Might just be a bit of nervous talk from me here but this team having exceeded all expectation now has some expectation, especially after Hardings comments during the week, and I'm looking at where we might find some Improvement late in the year if we want to compete beyond round one in the finals.

Dylan Harvey & Troy Yukich are our back up ruckmen in the Ressies DW. Harvey is coming back from a knee reco last year & has played a few League games in previous seasons while Yukich has improved nicely this year & is a long term prospect. Tyson Hodge also was a ruckman back in his Colts days but is playing predominately as a forward these days in the Ressies. Doc Blakely is doing a good job mate he has just struggled a little bit against Seaby who is the best ruckman in the comp along with Johnson from ERT but he needs a little bit of support no doubt.

That's true Leedy, Swans have been given an armchair ride from the umpires from what I have seen.

Yes, I think we can always count on falcons and lions supporters providing an unbiased opinion on a swans topic.
All we need is the man from NZ to ice the cake on this topic

Yep like when young Jukes took that armchair ride over the Subi defender completing a magnificent grab earlier in the year and the ump could only look on and applaud whilst failing to blow his whistle. If not for Faulkner's dodgy hair cut having every man and his dog aiming for his skull week in week out our frees for count would be minimal. Having said this, that hair cut deserves such malice. Over to u freeze....,
