Well done to the team today and the club for the show to celebrate the '61 flag. I thought Ireland played well today - probably his best league game. Two thumping goals was a good start, but his contribution in the ruck in the last quarter was telling after EP kicked two in a row to get within four goals and Swans were looking brittle.

Agreed on Ireland’s game, was really committed and his long goals were superb.
Bad kicking at goal kept east Perth in the game, we dominated all over the park, top effort.
Well done no 12 for east perth, thought he was excellent in the back pocket.
Week off will be very handy for swans, quite a few blokes need a spell

Very happy with that performance. They did justice to the heritage jumpers and a 41 point victory was a good reward for their efforts. A great start with 6 goals in the first quarter and this put Swans in control for most of the match. Their style of play was a lot more direct than previous weeks and Wilson and Noble were a threat to the East Perth defence all day.
Germs held his own in the ruck against the bigger bodied Jones. East Perth were on top with the centre clearances but Swans defence mostly held sway against the Royals forwards. Notte, Howard, Jones  and Erceg were all prominent. Aiden Clarke did the Bunton jumper proud.
Well done to the club for the celebrations of the 1961 flag. Ken Bagley certainly looked sprightly enough to still get a few kicks out there. Kudos to the umpires for getting into the spirit of the occasion by wearing their whites. Disappointing that East Perth refused to participate but that's their prerogative.

Great day for the Swannies, good colts win and the league did your club proud. The celebrations were good and showed respect for the players in the 61 GF win. well done

There was a really good atmosphere at the club yesterday. The crowd was a bit disappointing but I think everyone who was there enjoyed the occasion. People dressing in retro 60s and 70s gear, the old buses, the music of the Beach Boys and Monkees and of course seeing and hearing from some of those 60s legends created a nostalgic feel about the place and I thought the players really responded to this as well in their retro jumpers. Congratulations to the club for a fantastic day of celebrations.

Agree mikeh.  Hopefully, our current players after their interactions with the '61 team will be able to build on their legacy going forward.

Well done to Swans on celebrating your 60-year premiership anniversary in style and then (unfortunately) putting the Royals out of action with another devastating opening quarter.
Your side is capable of doing some damage during the finals.

Cheers ADGM. Swans seem to like 6 goal opening quarters against East Perth. After quarter time your guys worked their way back into it, but it is always going to be tough if you give the opposition a 6 goal start.

Mike, I think your lads learnt well from Round 5 at Leederville when East Perth came charging back after a poor dismal first quarter and but from dreadful inaccuracy in the third term, would probably have won the game.
Though it was goal-for-goal after quarter-time, Swans were never in any real danger yesterday.
