A massive game coming up this weekend against one of the current form teams of the WAFL in EP at Basso.
With the 60 year anniversary celebration/reunion of the 1961 Premiership team also on that day hopefully the boys take a bit of inspiration from the greatest moment in our clubs history.
EP always trouble Swans be it the likes of Ramsay, Jones, Schumacher, Lynch, Blee, Scott, Kerr, Robertson etc in the midfield or Simpson up forward who must lick his lips every time he comes up against us.
Hopefully a good crowd and fine weather are on the cards this Saturday for what is one of the great rivalries in WAFL footy!

We were lucky to win the game v East Perth earlier in the season as well. A 6 goal first quarter got us out to a lead and then the Royals were inaccurate when they got on top in the 3rd quarter. EP have improved markedly since then and will be a very tough challenge for Swans.

Good question SS
Joe Lawson and Fred Castledine have passed away in the last few years, Tony Nesbit and Cyril Litterick a long time back. Haydn Bunton, Billy Walker, Ken Bagley, Lindsay Johnstone and Keith Slater are all still around, not sure about some of the others, Success Hill or BH might know a bit more than me.

SS I believe around 12 of the guys are still alive.
I believe a good proportion of those will be there on Saturday but being 60 years ago and the side being in the age range of 20-30 back in 1961 some are not quite as mobile as they obviously once were.
Some absolute legends of not only the SDFC but WA footy were a part of that 1961-63 Premiership teams era- Bunton, Walker, Slater, Bagley, Turnbull, Castledine, Gray, Nesbit, Maynard, Lawson, Gorman, Johnston, Litterick, Sidebottom, Cooper, Noble, Brown, McVee, Mack, Devitt, Kelleher, Sangalli et al.
They defeated a pretty handy red hot fav EP side too that day that contained the likes of Farmer, Sheedy, Atwell, Kilmurray, Watts, Chadwick, Langdon, Kennedy, Rogerson, Seal, McGill, Bellos, MacGregor, Bull etc.

The colts game should be one worth an early trip to Basso, who should I be on the look out for?
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

I believe there is an earlier start for the colts on Saturday.  Around 8.50-8.55 am.

Looks like we will have another debutant tomorrow, with Greg Ottaviano set to make his League debut.
Jetta is an out and Gault misses yet another game (4 now) with that concussion.

BH did you confirm that it is concussion and not something else?  Given his height how did it occur?  Was another player involved?
