Cant muck around with concussion, we lost Rohan Powell to retirement and Walters for at least 6 weeks after their heavy clash resulted in severe concussion v SF earlier in the season. Gault is a key for you guys heading into the finals so cant take any chances by bringing him back too early.

This is shaping up to be the largest attendance this season at Bassendean with a combination of the fine weather, the 60th anniversary of the 1961 flag and the traditional rivalry between the Royals and Swans which always attracts supporters from both clubs. From East Perths point of view they would love to spoil the party and keep their faint finals hopes alive. Swans want to put on a good show for the legends and prove that they are worthy to play finals. A win would also keep some interest in finishing 3rd or 4th and getting a home final or even a double chance although this is unlikely to happen unless one of the top 4 falters.
This is retro round where people are encouraged to dress up and come to the footy in 60s 70s or 80s gear. What I would like to see in retro round is for the coaches to forget all this negative defensive game plan rubbish for one week and have a Good old fashioned shoot out a la 80's with Swans winning 22 goals to EP 20. Wouldn't that be worth watching!

Any-one thinking of having a flutter if they have a spare tener or red one in the pocket. Apparently Swans sitting on 1 dollar 60 for the win. The opposing side about 2 $ 35. And with the weather looking like a fine day, hoping for a good crowd at all the Wafl venues.

Beautiful day and both our AFL sides playing each other tomorrow...Let's hope for a decent crowd for Swans v EP...Both clubs have good support...Don't think Swans have had over 3,000 at a home game in 21.

Was a solid win with good players all over the ground.Looked like Swans where happy to let the Royals have the footy. Then wait for the over posession and turnover.Aka Swans 2019-20.
Mids, defense,and forwards looked good.Maby  one tall defender short against bigger fwd lines..So much space up fwd  for leading players.
Can see the Royals chasing a key fwd over the summer.Maby another mid and a key defender.Looks like a decent squad assembling..Thought the men in white where not to kind to the Royals today
 

How did the crowd end up at Basso? Hope it was a bumper

It was good to see a win against East Perth today.   A fitting salute for our 1961 players.

It was an okay crowd.  My estimate would be around 2,500 - 2,700.

As for the umpires it beggars belief how one of the three field umpires could not see the Swans's player grabbed the ankle of the East Perth player with no other players near them.

The league and colts wins made up for the reserves game where a combined 14 goals 32 behinds were scored on a perfect day with absolutely no wind.
