actually when a player kicks a goal today they get dragged off for some god beknown reasoning work that out - shits me to tears
Those decisions are usually made by people who have no inkling of football mate and how much confidence is gained to forwards from kicking goals!
why the hell you'd take them off just beggars common sense - robs the momentum of play and attractiveness , flair too mate

mmmm how many times do you see forward lines with not a soul in sight just grass nowadays
Pure idiocy especially when the team is down 3+ goals and not a forward to be seen.

All part of this rigid interchange rotation, they take advantage of the break in play after a goal, but I agree, unless he's totally gassed the player who just scored should be out there building on the confidence of kicking the goal.

Holy shit...wasn't expecting 10 AFL listed players to be named for WCE. Give em shit and win

What number were you expecting LaH?

How many emergencies has the Eagles named for their game?

A fortfeit to be honest....how do you come back from interstate, not have to isolate. Must be different rules for peasants like me
Thanks LaH.  How anyone can advocate that this farce that is the WCER continue in 2022 is inexplicable.
I would expect 2 or 3 players are held over for the Eagles game.

WCE have a better team in than the last time we played them, although if Swans can turn up with the same level of intensity as they had against Subiaco a few weeks back I still think we've got them covered. There's nobody of the calibre of Shuey to blitz us.

I didn't get to the game today.  I would appreciate if someone who was there could provide a match summary.  It would be interesting to hear an explanation of how we can kick 8 goals in the first half and only 2 goals in the second half.

Based on the results of the other games it was a very important win for us today.

Swans lost the lead for the first time since early in the second qtr. With about 2 minutes left.Mathew Germs goaled 30 seconds later.Swans held on.
Swans didn't get there hands on the footy on the first qtr.And should of been 5 goals+ down at 1/4 time.
A seven goal to one set up Swans in the 2nd.Gault +Germs got first hands to the FOOTY.On top of the two monster Wcer ruckmen..Our two Nblues where excellent after qtr time. And ripped the eagles apart in the second qtr,Clarke+Fisher.
The second half was very even.On another day Waterman might of kicked 6 goals.Wcer slowed Swans movement out our of defense ,
apart from the second qtr.Made it difficult and forced Swans into pack contests.Which would favour the bigger body AFL players. Some accurate passing got the ball out. When Warwick Wilson is up to full match fitness. His elite kick is needed up the ground.
Wcer are a funny Wafl team. Have at least a dozen elite kicks. But struggle to put a 5 possessions together. In a pattern of play without a kick 30 m backward.Great to see there competitive but play to some Wce plan.Great to see Hutchins still in the thick of it.Lost some deapth in his kicking. But still a hard worker all day.

Top win in a tough game, Vardy dominated the rucks which made it tough at times.
Fisher Anderson and Notte brilliant and Jones solid again.
Well done to the much improved Reidy Beck and Riley.
Wazza until he ran out of gas was electric
Hutchings West and O’Neill very good for west coast
