Well this week we apparently take on the WCER at Basso.
Coming off our last game against Subi where we hung on by a point to finally beat them for the first time since 2015 this will be another stern test as they are on a 2 game winning streak.
I am still not sure what the rules are around crowd allowances for this week as it is all over the shop like a drunken sailor, is it a limit of 150?, is it the 2m sq ruling?, you tell me I have no idea anymore.
With the WCE taking virtually all of their players over East last week to avoid a lockdown in WA does that now mean their players not chosen to play in the AFL exempt bubble have to do the 14 day quarantine like the rest of society coming back from CoVic?
Or once again McGowan's flimsy wishy washy rules are only enforced on us plebs?

BH, what I read was 50% capacity for Optus and the RAC Arena so that should apply to WAFL venues which is not really an issue. Still need masks inside but not outside if you can keep the 1.5m, 150 for inside function rooms bars cafes etc subject to the 2m2 rule so you will need to get into the bar early and stay there if you want a beer!!

If they are doing their 14 day quarantine like the rest of society have to then it should only be their top ups plus the Eagles who stayed in WA allowed to play this weekend mate!
And if not the case and those who have been in CoVic are allowed to play against Swans this weekend I and most West Aussies should be asking McGowan & Cook why????????????

Given Victoria, for the first time since the first outbreak, are more advanced in the relaxing of covid restrictions and are now at day 7 of no new cases, well ahead of WA, I don't think there are any issues with the returning WCE players. They will have been tested a couple of times since their return last Sunday, so nothing to fear for your players. Subi and EF copped loaded WCER teams, it will be interesting to see if the AFL team makes a number of changes after 2 horrible losses in a row, which could result in a few regular WC players spending time in their reserves.

Beas, article in the West says that Vic is expected to be re-classified as "very low risk" on Friday, which means quarantine also ends then.

They only returned yesterday (Tuesday) not Sunday, but it looks like McGowans mob have changed the rules for WCE and they will be allowed to play on Saturday after Vic is deemed a very low risk as of Friday surprise surprise.
Last time we played them in Rd3 they did have 12 afl listed players that day but it would be fair to say the quality will probably be even higher on Saturday!

Oh ok, thought it was Sunday, but yes Vic is now very low risk, lower than WA so no issues. Agree it's not how many it's who, they had 12 against us but Shuey was incredibly influential, plus Vardy, Baily Williams, Brander, Ah Chee, Hutchings, West etc.
Do us all a favour and give them a hiding.
