....And this match being covered by the SportFM commentary team, whom always do a fantastic job.
Is going to be a good match this one. Both teams currently have scored a total of 70 goals. So far, Swan Districts have amasssed two hundred and sixty seven ball disposals inside 50 with 123 scoring shots. With East Fremantle on 288 inside 50's and 134 scoring shots. Not a lot between these two sides. East Fremantle would be quietly confident here. The crystal ball is indicating plenty of rainfall for game day with a maximum temperature of about 19° . Whichever team gets the best start, are going to be in the box seat.

My laddies so close last week and that slow start really cost us. We are 3 and 3 and right in it with two games ahead that we should win before the bye. When we sit 5 and 3 and top 3 on the ladder at half way, I think we will be in great shape. You should be happy that the hat finally got through the system and I'm back to full health after the West Perth comeback.

We all of course hope you are eventually proven right Marley....but until we start beating teams above us on the ladder and not just falling over the line against the bottom 3 teams we will all continue to be very sceptical!

Based on what I saw of Swans in the 3rd qtr and early in the last v Subi, if you can bring that hard aggressive brand from the start you should take care of EF, but another slow start will see you chasing jumpers again.

As for the Jetta report, I dont think it was worth more than a reprimand given it had no real impact on Dela as he was back on the ground within 5 minutes, there were spot fires all over the place in the 3rd qtr and Dela in particular was heavily physically targeted by Swans to try and take away his influence on the game, he obviously retaliated to some of the treatment he got which you would expect, but none of the Swans players had to leave the ground as there was no blood rule imposed. Dela's reactions were in the run of play whereas Jetta's was off the play and high. That's how I saw it.

Assuming no injury problems. I can't see any changes to the team this week. Jetta will need to be replaced probably by Laclan Riley.

Well done on the effort today. I was impressed with Reidy's and Stephen's attack on the ball, and the return to form of Turner.

Beat Peel next week and we will play finals. Reserves and colts top 2. Great time to be a loyal duck. Quack quack, I'm not eating my hat!

Pretty happy with that performance. Highlight was the 2nd quarter which was superb direct football. When was the last time Swans scored 8 goals in a quarter? The only flat bit was the first 20 minutes of the 3rd quarter when East Fremantle threatened a comeback but luckily we steadied late in the 3rd and were pretty much safe at the last change.
Enjoyed the performance of Reidy, that was probably his best game for Swans. Also the further development of Clarke, Cipro, Beck and Spackman was pleasing to watch. Liked Warwick Wilson up forward, gives us a number of options. The two ex East Perth Boys are really paying dividends as well.
Next weeks game against Peel is pivotal. 5-3 would be an excellent foundation for a finals challenge.

Agree Mike: Waite had the ball on a string in the first half.

Pleasing is the confidence the men in defence are developing with winning a one-on-one contest . One saw it develop late last season, and yesterday Beck, Stephens, Waite, Erceg and Sparkman had the better of their direct opponents. I hope Sparkman's injury is not serious.
