Anyway BH and others what did you think of Swans performance yesterday?

Our 1st qtr was the best footy we have played this season along with the 3rd qtr Rd1 Mike, we just need to produce that level of skill, precision, decision making & commitment for 4 qtrs instead of one every couple of weeks.
I thought that was Riggs & Tonys best games of the season so far, Sam & Frank are quality, Jesse is having his best consistent season of WAFL so far, Stephens best WAFL game, Reidy gave us good run and life although field kicking still an issue he needs to address, George is a class act, Gault again dominated the ruck but direction of taps was sometimes costly, DGB intercept marks very good early but he will be drafted next year, agree with your remarks on Kohlmann why we dont get the ball to him & Noble etc up forward more precisely and quickly instead of stuffing around with midfield back handballs has me absolutely stumped as both men can take a strong contested grab as well as on the lead.
On a more sombre telling note though we are now half way through the season and STILL have not had a win in any grade so far....not good enough football department!

I totally Agree.
On a side note (for us old timers) does Kohlmann take a longer run up than Peter Kempin did when kicking for Goal.

He can run in as long as he likes as long as he keeps kicking straight TRSM.
Every forward worth their salt should have their set shot kicking routine down-pat and kept to the same regardless of conditions as scoring is essential especially when you have so little scoring shots as we do!

I agree, stick to the routine. It was just a query, you don't often see bloke run that
far when kicking for Goal.
It will be a bit of a problem if he has a shot from the boundary, and the umps make him run in straight line. That is what I admired about the Carlton bloke with his after the siren kick. He moved stuff to stick with his routine.

Swans have now played the best 4 teams in the competition and although losing them all have not been blown off the park in any game. The West Perth game was the real killer because we should have won that given that we were 20 points up at 3 quarter time. We also had our chances last Saturday as well.
That is all in the past now and what the team has to do is to reset their sights on the last four rounds and translate the improvement we have seen into some victories starting with this week against Peel. All four of the remaining games are winnable for us, what we dont know is what mindset the team is going to take into these fixtures

Totally agree Mike. We’ve squandered a few great chances to win in the first 4 rounds and now to win 3 of the last 4. I truely believe we can beat anyone and some confidence with a win under our belt will warm the cockles of my heart. Peels boring smothering style of play will be difficult to overcome however and I’ll take a 28 point win here.
