TOPIC:

This is the season the Scorchers needed to have really. They have become complacent due to their past successes and they now lack the quality of other squads. They need to turnover quite a lot of their group next year. Klinger, Bosisto, Willey ,Qadir, Cartwright and Paris would be guys who may be under the pump. They would do well to start with trying to attract some WA lads such as Short, Phillipe and Stoinis back as well as a good international batsman or spinner. The fast bowling resources are good. They need some power in their batting.

Can you pair actually see youelves and what you are saying??? With all due respect to you both, when did God give you the ability or right to decide who is the “lowest common denominator”? Just because people love a game that you obviously don’t, I think you are a bit unfair.
And oh, I am another lcd who loves the game, so I take your comments as a personal insult.

(I cant speak on behalf of Unka)...I have been commenting T20 on here and previously attended Scorchers games since they started and before when it was WA/Western Warriors...what I posting about was the so called 'entertainment' at the games which is obviously marketed directed solely for kids and or simple lcd folk...if you take that to heart well......!

What BH said, as grist for the mill...and hit and giggle its fine entertainment. Hey 58nwho do you think the pantomine coooeeee etc is aimed at?? I'll watch it , but i dont think IMHO its for the serious sports buff.

Don’t call me “champ” - that’s just another insult - I could respond with like, but I’ll leave insults up to you.. Ok, so you may like the game, but my point was, who are you to belittle people? You obviously see yourself as a paragon of virtue. Well that’s it for me on this one, I won’t argue with my “self proclaimed betters”.

You’re right unk, some people just can’t adapt to the modern times. I won’t go any further on this unk, as I take people as they are, not what I think they should be.

Settle down 58 the champ reference most certainly was not meant to be an insult, it is a term I use quite regularly to friends and associates and not in a derogatory manner!
On the bbl "entertainment" we will have to beg to differ...if you like wearing silly shirts, bucket hats, music like "If you are happy and you know it clap your hands", mexican waves & booing those who do not participate, fire cannons, disco dancers, mc's shouting down the mic incessantly with ridiculous comments etc when attending the actual games then you go for it!

I like the Big Bash. But don't pay much attention to the American style entertainment. That comes with the game.The Wildcats do similar. The Big Bash is the introduction to Cricket for a lot of young people +women.Family friendly +good entertainment. Maby CA in this current format might have the season a bit to long.
Channel 7+Foxtel are happy with the TV ratings.But attendances in Melbourne +Sydney continue to be poor.The Sixers are over the moon to get 15,000 at the SCG.Same with the Stars at the Mcg.

Just chequed it's 800 a game.Scorchers moving to Optus has help the crowd drop.With Optus crowds double that of the Waca.
