EF run out 46 pt winners v WCER in their 1st pre-season hit out with EF kicking. 2.8 in the 3rd quarter to WCER 2 pts. WCER rebounding with 5 goals to EF 1 goal in the last, to enable WCER minimize that loss to just under 8 goals.

Good spread of goalkickers it seems, usual EF way with Lawler leading the way with 3 and host of others kicking 2. Great to see EF give 6 2023 colts boys a run in Campbell, Dunscombe, Petersen, Otto, Vladich and Austin....with Cripps returning from his 2023 illness woes to kick 2.....I see Hagan and Teakle played,  and a number of premiership boys didn't play and no Boekhorst either.

Interesting to see WCER 1st ruck was ex EF boy Jack Williams with ex EF boys in Ruscoe and Spadanuda at his feet. Apparently EF youngsters in Spadanuda and Yeo have been leased out to WCER for the season , to get some league footy into them, which they probably wouldn't get at EF in 2024. Pity Ruscoe didn't come back either, good size and will be a more than handy player at the WAFL level.

Can see the likes of long term injury players in Boekhorst, Tassone, Meade, Murphy and O'Reilly....plus Strnadica,once he gets a metro tsf with work after Easter, been given time to find their feet in the reserves....agree KC, on paper, going to be some interesting discussion at the selection table by the match committee this year.
