I haven’t heard anything but given Hagan was a late out seems like a great replacement. Still no replacement for Goddard, and with McGuire in the SSP mix, might need to bolster the ruck department

KC can't see a ruck coming in and EF will have to make do with Cripps, Simpson, McGuire, Dixon and young Kyle White. No out n out ruck on paper, but I guess with a decent midfield competing is all EF rucks will need to do.

Be interested where the Marsh boys play....if O'Reilly  can stay on the park, along with Dixon and McGuire, both or one of the Marsh boys could move back if needed. Time will tell, I guess.

Cleaver certainly looks a good prospect but it astounds me how these recruiters work, Pegoraro is a gun but continues to be over looked.

Could also lose Reuben McGuire, currently training with Essendon and hoping to be picked up in the preseason supplementary draft.
reuben was invited then they reneged & he didnt go at all - this happened to dixon by st kilda
really disappointing that clubs do this to these young blokes

I guess a sign of the times, youngsters who get talked up in the media all year as being monty draft prospects, then sadly don't get drafted.....then they think being on the doorstep of an AFL club betters their chances.....time will tell with both Hagan and Cleaver if that is the case....whilst obviously both are talented, I had both down as  gone this year via the draft, and both play in areas that EF have enough depth......

That's frustrating for McGuire though......obviously handy for EF height wise, as McGuire can play key forward and key back plus chop out in the ruck. Athletic sort who showed glimpses of his potential in matches last year.

You’d think Bill is held in fairly high esteem after the “Robbie” years.

Mate, I reckon Bill is a monty to extend, but footy can be unforgiving at times...so far the natural progression has been upwards in terms of wins and ladder position each year for Bill....bar that half year due to COVID.

Last year EF had little or no expectation, due to losing 4 key players by April. This year if injuries are minimal, EF and the coaching team are expected to be top 3 by all the pundits. Let Bill do his thing, and hopefully he will be rewarded with wins and an extension....time will tell....

Any news on any last minute Goddard gems?

Bill has done a great job at the Sharks, in the space of a few years he has turned them from a rabble into genuine premiership contenders. They would be mad not to extend his contract.
