If my club has any brains it should be calling the WAFC to stop putting us up against the WCER every year as the season opener. We always come up against a strong line up and don’t get these big percentage boosting opportunities like you’ve just been handed and I think not for the first time if memory serves correct.
Was it that strong a lineup in Rd1? 9 off their AFL list and with Jamieson, Hough, Williams, Clark & Strnadica with a then total of 0 AFL games between them.
Yeh you conveniently left out Jake Waterman who is a dominant player at WAFL level, SPS and Isiah Winder. They were a very tall side the one we played.
Isiah who? So you had 2 Eagles of note to contend with DD. Should be an easy win to Perth.
You can spin it which ever way you fella’s want. Clark and Strnadica hadn’t played any AFL games but Clark is a what two time WAFL premiership player I’m just guessing and won the Simpson medal last year in the GF and second or third in the Sandover, Subi F&B????

Strndadica?? You don’t rate him but apparently he’s a big loss to your club. Etc etc…..
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

All Subi players look the same to me but Clark's record speaks for itself. Certainly not saying I don't rate him or Strnadica either. I was merely questioning how strong West Coast were in Rd 1. You could of had them with AFL 18 players  - better to face them with half of that surely.

Watched the game online- glad the club played it now after reservations when the decision was made. The powers that be knew we’d win and backed in the rest of the squad. A lot has been said about depth but I think that it’s building. Marshall came in for first game in 2 years and didn’t look out of place. Not playing were Marsh, Schoenfeld, Eardley, Jupp, Goddard, Gorringe and Murphy who are, or close to, best 22. Goals were always my question mark and it was the smalls in Montauban and English who complimented O’Reilly. The Sharks also were down to 20 for most of the 2nd half. Great start to the year and we’ve gone 7-2 over last 9 games. Big tests coming, starting this week against Perth.
