Bit of Clayton's win today TBH.... obviously  every EF fan will take the 4 pts and % boost....but really makes a mockery of the comp.....especially with WCER loaning two EF players just to make a team....... embarrassing to say the least.....no doubt as the season goes on WCER will be competitive, unfortunately a couple of teams won't get the easy 4 pts and % boost like EF did today.

Surely the likes of Bazzo and Trew would of gained better development in that SD win over Cl last week.....whilst Hough could of helped  say EP get over the line v Subi last week.....or represented WP or Perth in their respective wins last week......not sure regular 60 pt + hammerings are conducive to any players footy development, especially a youngsters.

Have to comment. Maybe 1986 the last time WAFL not compromised. Since Eagles, Laurie Keane, East Perth alignment, Subi and their million dollar a year Subi Oval deal, Peel alignment and Eagles WAFL farce, we’ve all whinged about the unfairness. The thing that shits me is the randomness of it all. Last year Sharks play Eagles and there’s non stop bleating about the Sharks flogging the undermanned Eagles. Next game they play, an AFL strong Eagles flog the Sharks. Every year the Sharks play Peel first game of year and face at least a dozen AFL players, yet five weeks later Peel is down to about 6 AFL players. And then there is Covid.

Drop the comp to eight teams, align each AFL club to four teams that they can influence with game style, etc, drop their players into their aligned teams and that’s it. None of us can whine after that, although I know we will. Sure beats this stupidness where the Sharks are top of the ladder with a team that has been raped pre season by the Eagles and lose players to the state team. Embarrassing.

If my club has any brains it should be calling the WAFC to stop putting us up against the WCER every year as the season opener. We always come up against a strong line up and don’t get these big percentage boosting opportunities like you’ve just been handed and I think not for the first time if memory serves correct.

Was it that strong a lineup in Rd1? 9 off their AFL list and with Jamieson, Hough, Williams, Clark & Strnadica with a then total of 0 AFL games between them.

....and the 8 Wafl clubs need to be taking some of the blame also for this shameful debacle!!!! . And if yesterday is not a loud enough awake up call for some to finally wake up - what the hell is!!! The whole comp has gone down the toilet since the twenty 13/ 14 season and not recovered.

Fair point because don't they have a vote on this? Pretty sure Swans Districts voted against the West Coast stand alone reserves side.

Yeh you conveniently left out Jake Waterman who is a dominant player at WAFL level, SPS and Isiah Winder. They were a very tall side the one we played.

Isiah who? So you had 2 Eagles of note to contend with DD. Should be an easy win to Perth.
