Hard to comprehend Jordan Snadden not being selected in the league side today - was very good last season and looked pretty good last Friday night too. Will assume Morgan Davies non selection is somehow injury related. Though both not exactly setting the game alight in the 1st Quarter - Cody Smith 9 touches already.

What a great result. Have just checked out the final scores online. That's what happens when east Fremantle play 4 quarters of footy. 

Well they may have played 4 quarters of footy but only 3 of those they played well. Still not bad considering the salary cap haters had 3 more guys on the field than us.

Agree with Ti Em.  The second quarter was diabolical.  Do that against Subi or Claremont, then it’d be all over red rover.  Still, happy that we won the first game of the season since 2016.  Four points is four points.  Some of the boys had extraordinary numbers which was promising.  I thought the best players on ground for the dole bludgers had whistles in their hands.

Schoenfeld and Murdock have the numbers but to the naked eye were both outstanding. Strnadica was excellent in the ruck - taking some strong contested marks and has goalkicking nous .Chalmers, Boekhurst,& Bennett were all very good today. So too was Luke English - a solid WAFL league debut. Our backs were good too. Leggett in particular showed real hardness for the contest. Rubin McGuire, who played in defence, showed glimpses of class in his first league game and took some good marks . Apart from the second term a dominate display that really should of been by a far greater margin. Peel kicked quite a few goals from soft frees and we chipped in with a few posters and out on the full's.

Four wins out of four across all grades yesterday....perfect start to the season, not sure the last time that has happened.
Very early days of course, but back to back 15 goal efforts the last two weeks is definitely a positive sign. Always difficult to judge Peel in terms of quality, as their side will change like WCE reserves, on a weekly basis, but hey a win is a win none the less. Well done to all grades on a great start  to the 2021 season.....the Futures are actually 4/0...setting the way for all the other EF grades to follow.

Can't see many changes for next week if any....but good to see Morgan Davies and Snadden get plenty of the footy in the reserves game....surely both players are best 22? Be interesting to see if Davies and Snadden have done enough to win over the coach, after spending most of the preseason in the twos.....Did Dixon do enough to get a league game? Be interesting to see who makes way and who comes in v Subi.....obviously Subi will be a different kettle of fish to Peel....hopefully the team is up to challenge.....been a few years since EF have beaten Subi......
