Great to have Marsh on board....

Jono Marsh coming back to the WAFL and not playing in blue and white would have been dreadful. Great news for our club.

Great get and found Marsh comments very interesting around player character. That suggests he was keeping a close check on who was coming in and followed up with what they were like. It probably also suggests that he wasn’t happy with the environment previously. Might be reading too much into it, but on that front- well done to Bill, Doddy and the football club

Spot on KC, I reckon Marsh would of gone elsewhere if some of those names, who Monaghan has since moved on, were still at the club. Obviously Monaghan is an abrasive character himself, but like his success at WP over an extended period of time has shown, if the players get on board, then success should follow. The proof will be in the pudding as they say come the seasons end....can't see Monaghan getting an extension if EF don't make finals....

Hard to compare teams, but I wonder how our current one compares to Bills WP teams? Guess we’ll soon find out.

Interesting point about contract extension. Given that the players moved on were some of the better players talent wise, I'd think Bill would be given at least another 2 should there be more wins this year. Not sure I'd have much confidence in the current board given recent history to make the right decisions....

On paper, the EF squad looks big on talent- probably the best squad for about 5 years.

Footyfan2 wrote: Agree KCEF.........I have no confidence in the current board and never have! One could speculate they have always been motivated by personal reasons with regard to the redevelopment of Shark Park! Check out their occupations! Let us wait and see who gets the contracts for the redevelopment! Conspiracy theory......On paper we have a list that should better the 9 wins achieved by the 2016 team. Marshy is a different cat........will be a bonus down back but will the other players get on with him?

What absolute tosh! What are you suggesting with regards to the redevelopment? Long overdue for one thing and being completely overseen by the Town of East Fremantle - not the EFFC.

Cameron Loersch’s first season as a Demon is over before it even began.

The former Gold Coast and East Fremantle big man has been ruled out for 2021 after sustaining a serious hip injury at training pre-Christmas.

The West Australian understands the 25-year-old landed awkwardly in a marking contest, causing significant damage.

Early indications are that he won’t return to full fitness until at least November.
