watson definitely gone to sf so probably just waiting for transfer fees before removing him from our list

Probably just told him of the monumental stuff up Perth orchestrated that allowed him to walk to EF for next to nothing. He's probably seen the incompetence a few times over the years

now they have to wait for the eagle boys to get off the track before their own can get on:lol:

Draft night tonight - bit of talk Freo - Peel will snap up EF youngster Brandon Walker in the late 20s/30s, whilst Jack Carroll late teens/early 20s pick to an ES club. Roughies may be Gorringe, Bockman and Chris Walker....good to luck to all those EF potential draftees looking for a chance at the elite level.

Also the EFFC AGM and the Town of East Fremantle revealing their plan for the EF oval redevelopment at 3 o'clock.

Congrats to Jack Carroll - Carlton and Brandon Walker - Freo....hopefully both boys have long successful careers at the elite level. Still a chance for Gorringe, Bockman and Chris Walker in the rookie draft today....if not selected I hope all three come out firing in 2021 for EF....because I think if COVID hadn't been around all three could be on an AFL list by now.

Be interesting to hear more about the development plans Ti Em....also if HT and Marsh are likely recruits for 2021.

Jack Carroll to the old dark navy blues in the big smoke - a great opportunity whilst Brandon Walker stays home which certainly has it good points. The final development vision is interesting with the oval itself flattened and tilted 11 degrees. The rather spaceship looking clubroom is then centred on the western wing - pretty much the length of the centre square with undercover seating for about 200 people. Larger building consisting of hall, separate Gym, cafe and bar next to it (clubroom) on the north west flank overlooking 2 synthetic bowling greens. No bowling club house in the proposal. croquet club to use old bowling greens. Not a fence in site too. Slightly more off street parking around the site. Basketball half court and skate area near the existing and retained members carpark. All up price 26 million. Town of East Fremantle chipping in 5 million and the rest they hope to be able to get from other sources including the AFL. Looks like it will go ahead once they come up with the additional 21 million.

Thanks TM, was there a rundown on football? At the end of the day, the ground needs an upgrade. From my understanding the whole venue will be opened up- are there any fences? Interesting the ground is shifting- wind being a big factor at Shark Park. Will it retain its size?

Thanks Ti Em. Total project has been costed at $21 million with the Town of East Fremantle having endorsed it and committed $6 million. Apparently hopeful of State and Federal funding early next year. The building and redevelopment of the ground will mean that we will need to train and play elsewhere for a season.
I thought Shimmo said that there would be 500 under cover seating for members with more in the pavilion overlooking the oval.
Good to see Steve Nugent and Graeme Herman Carter as life members.
Apparently the club was considering doing away with Friday nights as the turnover each week had dropped as low as $500 a year ago but with the commitment to the redevelopment and the work of people like Rod Grulizich, live music, the bar is now again a going concern.

Bill gave an update on the recruiting and playing group. All recruits have already been made public. Expressed some hope that Jonathan Marsh and Harry Taylor may be involved at the club. However we won’t know for sometime maybe in the new year. The club will be compensated by the Town of East Fremantle for loss of gate takings and provision is being made to fence the ground for a number of home games such as the Derbies and finals (if we make them?!!)
