Well the time has come to ramp up the banter between us EF and Perth fans... definitely been a vociferous battle pre-season, ending with Perth gifting EF $6K for Quill and an admin gaff from Perth allowing EF to eventually secure Leggett.

Perth go into this match as worthy warm favourites, they are 2/0 and kicking goals, whilst EF are 1/2 and getting a plethora of goals kicked against them. EF only saving grace is that the game is at every Perth fans favourite footy viewing & playing establishment.. apparently one particular wing there has the Perth boys historically well n truly mesmerized......Lets hope the game lives up to the preseason banter.

Speaking of banter, surprised OFA hasn't assigned an EF mod to keep the Quill/Leggett cup banter footy related tho, Razzle runs a tight no nonsense ship on the Perth thread....and we all know how excited and personal some of these Perth boys get playing away from home unsupervised....any chance of Custy coming back for the interim OFA as there are only so many Buffalo pics a fella can stomach..LOL

Regardless of the result, hope to see the Perth boys back at the bar after throwing a few hard earned our way.

Perth should win this pretty easy but who knows how they come off the bye and EF are bi-polar, so who knows which team will show up. Hopefully we see some changes at selection. As George W said, fool me once......

At the East Perth game I sat in front of Earl Spalding and some of his coaching panel in the grandstand. It was interesting to hear some comments about EF players. Leggett was referred to as twitchy in reference to his decision making. General comments were also made about some players who were very likely to make mistakes when subjected to pressure and some who didn’t appear to have the desire to be competitive. Based on our performance against EP I would think that Perth should win by about 8 goals.

Interesting to hear Rogers on 91.3 this arvo. When asked about their approach to Legget, the standard “we’re only interested in the 4points”. He did say that if Perth were in a winning position in the last quarter, they might have a chat to him. No animosity towards him? Yep, and the Pope is an atheist. LOL.

58 I think that would just play into EF’s hands if we fall for the smack talk and push and shove. Bill Monaghan would love that. We haven’t achieved anything yet.

Could see someone like Zac Jackson come in to the team and join the mids. Interesting to see if any other changes happen - Bill has refrained from ringing the changes during his time at Moss Street. Can't see him losing his religion now.

Kommer and Davidson out with hammy's....Tucker in and extended bench including young tall defender Reuben McGuire.....Be interesting to see if Bonomelli comes into CHF and Bailey gets moved up back to help Jupp and Winton height wise with the two big Macs up front for Perth...or McGuire gets a crack.....

Excuse the “stupid question”, but with a lot of kids coming in, is this an official rebuild?

No - unofficial rebuild. I know it is only on paper and it is in his DNA but surprised to see Tom Monaghan named in the back line.

Didn't Monaghan start in the Seniors back?

58Shark, I can't see us winning the flag this year with our squad and the fact that the likes of Loersch, Burton, Marshall ect are in the Reserves suggest that it's a rebuild. But wasn't it always- 2 years ago we won 2 games out of 18!
