Forget the game, let's look at the most important thing: Leggett's draft prospects. He is bigger than the game. He's not bound by contracts or a decision of an independent, experienced and qualified arbitrator. So the game today was just a sub plot to his ambition. Don't forget EF lured him across in part with promises of boosting his draft chance. Surely a club as ethical as EF wouldn't have been pissing in his pocket. And you know how sensitive Cody is to any suggestion of a broken promise, so much so that if there is none, he will just fabricate it.

With that preamble, let me ask how many phone calls Leggett will be fielding this week from talent scouts. I'll get the ball rolling by suggesting zero.

Could've pinched it by taking our chances in front of goal- set shots and stroll in goals went begging. The forward line needs some serious additions. Strnadica was poor in a game he should've dominated. McDonald down the other end looks a very good player- should've kicked 3 but Jupp had his hands full. Tucker was quiet apart from an excellent mark late and Mills isn't for me.

You’re like six year old kid teddie. Still sulking, time to move on or else find someone that gives a fk about your tender feelings. Your team won today, but you probably don’t know because Legget is central to your life. Get a life bud.

While you are on the subject of leggett he’s not that good really is he. Where he did well with us was on ball being hard AF. He doesn’t seem to be that kind of player anymore. I reckon he should put himself on the ball more. But I’m sure he knows what he is doing with his career.

Fortunately for him, I’m sure he would take your advice for the proverbial grain of salt.

Looking in today’s Budget, Leggett was top 3 in the comp for kicks and marks. I’d say he can play back just fine. And agree- quite an aggressive chap. Don’t get those types in our zone- dime a dozen around the mean streets of Lathlain

Could have pinched - but you didn’t.
Great to see D’s have a win. Great also go see The morally devoid EF have another loss.
Best of luck in the AFL Cody ?

Freezin wrote: Not too sure what to make of that 6 point loss....seem to have a few opportunities in both the 2nd and 4th quarters to get our noses in front...but kicking 1.5 and 2.4 ain't conducive to kicking a match winning score....just really lack some genuine goal kickers from the sounds of things...did Strnadica get injured?.....looks like all 3 grades could do with some goal kicking practice over the bye....that reserves game looked like point scoring feast....now the fun really begins with WP, Cl and Subi to come....out of all those 3, Subi seem to be EF best bet for a win....LOL who would of thought that?

Highly entertaining first term Freezin, 6 straight goals to Perth and 4 to your team. Both sides ordinary after that, your mobs poor kicking prevented you from taking a half time lead. I thought we’d done just enough in the third qtr to hold on and that proved to be but we tried and succeeded in keeping you in the game until the final siren.

A reality check is coming our way next week against WP unless the selectors pull their finger out.
Get on your bike.

Great post Baseline, as good as Ted's mate...pity we don't have a moderator to bin these posts into the boring as bat shit bin....Great to see Perth end that 11 year hoodoo though...as you say DD next few weeks will definitely see where Perth are against the better teams....good luck and good for the comp if Perth can end that 20 odd year finals hoodoo as well.

What mystified me was EF picking Mills on the bench instead of a Bonomelli or Loersch....already had enough defensive tall backs in the starting 18....yet no goal kicking talls bar Strnadica....who rucks as well...can't kick goals so let's pick another defender....we seem to select small forwards who are in for their defensive pressure and not for their goal kicking prowess....just seems so negative.....but hey considering EF are in STT words "farking useless and going no where"..a 6 point loss probably was the best one could of hoped for....that loss seemed to brighten Ex EF legend FF2 day that's for sure....

Looks like the EF thread has found its new moderator, OFA apparently has given STT the role..love the fact he is now telling an EF fan what to post and how to act on their own thread....cheers OFA, good on ya for finding us EF posters that long over due replacement for Custy....welcome aboard STT...
