Bonomelli, Burton and Marshall make way for Riach, Kommer and Eardley...reserves side looks half decent...on paper at least. Surely one of Loersch, Bonomelli and Teakle have more chance being a tall forward threat then Bailey at league level...

The problem is when they don't mark it Freeze, Bailey is a lot more mobile than this you mentioned plus Strnadica. The 2 talls didn't work last year and I guess Bill and Co are looking at the alternatives.

Yes a fair call KCEF, Bailey has the mobility - this seems to be Bill's plan, moving him forward hopefully will help apply some pressure in the forward half.

Looks like EF left the park after the 17 min mark of the first and came back to join the game for the 4th quarter....EP mids seem to have leather poisoning during EF absence....with the reserves kicking a measly 5 goals in their loss, not sure where EF are going to find the necessary goals then to keep themselves in the hunt.....going to be interesting to see if the coach pulls the trigger and plays Loersch up front irrespective of his recent lack of goalkicking form next week v Perth...

understand the logic of playing Bailey up front for that 2nd pressure effort, but if the other forwards aren't kicking goals and Bailey isn't a goal kicker himself, not sure it is the way to go...definitely missing that small goal kicking forward that is for sure....well played EP

TBH FF2...any side that can't beat Peel by a minimum of 10 goals this year ain't going to go far this year....think WP clearly showed today how far off the mark Peel's first two opponents are....EF definitely came up short that is for sure....

Well we looked good for 15 minutes - an improvement on the derby debacle. After that East Perth put their bodies on the line and their heads over the ball. Got their hands on the ball, were direct, kicked the ball long and were far more skillful. We simply could not match their hardness at the ball and to further compound matters our skills often were quite ordinary. Huge spray at 3rd quarter time from a coach who has seemed reluctant to ring the changes during his tenure at the club. Kommer, Jansen, Snuffy, Monaghan, Murphy, Riach, Tassone, Davidson and Mills all pretty disappointing today. Will be interesting to see how the coach responds and how those selected for the match against Mineral Resources on Saturday respond.

No doubt MR will be licking their lips at the prospect of next week’s game. Gee it’d be nice to give them an unpleasant surprise.
