To answer your question obviously the AFL hasn't thought about it given the draft. Obviously Freo and the Eagles, Peel and East Perth haven't thought about it based on the host club alignment.

Let me ask you a question A/man. Did you think that maybe some players drafted to Freo would have preferred to play WAFL games at Swans with their mates and siblings?

I am sure they do and would if they had the opportunity, look at the Blakelys and Ridley, Michael Priors boy and others but given the contract and associated money what would you honestly choose mates of money and playing at the elite level!

Grump, can you advise who Michael Prior's boy is and what Club he plays for. Considering Michael was East Perth/Noranda, I thought his son might follow.

I’m surprised there’s any supporters left now at all to be honest

That is on top of recruiting McGinnity (ex Claremont-WCE) the year before too mate!

he can elect to play for whoever he wants, its whether the rules should allow it or not is the issue that some people are having trouble with here..

Stiff shit.
EP are aligned they should not be allowed to recruit these types of players.
Obviously WCE influence here and the WAFL caves in.
It looks like bullshit, it feels like bullshit, it smells like bullshit.
It is bullshit.

To me it's all about running a comp that is fair and equal to all.
I can't see how EP getting Wellingham is in the spirit of the comp.
As far as playing with ya mates that's junior footy stuff.

he can go to Subi via the normal clearance procedures is he so wishes.
instead the WAFC lets him go to EP under their vague criteria for ex AFL players being able to join EP or Peel which change every year as the WAFC have decided under the rules they have the final say.
