I think you will find most of us have similar views to yourself if you could see past your own opinion for five seconds.

LB if you have not talked to a single EP supporter in favour of the host club alignment why has there not been a move to kick out all the members of the board who were a party to the decision?

Very simple. No one moved a vote of no confidence in the board on the night.Hard to argue against the financial reasons.Simple solution was for someone with bigger pockets to become president and a board of bankers and sharebrokers as well.unforunately i don't think we had too many millionaires in the audience that night. This alignment was always a harder sell then 2000 and 2001.Remember that last alignment was supposed to be at least three years and only lasted two.

don't blame the likes of myself screemar. I made my stance from day one. The club is a shell now and I dug in my heals in protest because I knew exactly where it would end up. If every EP supporter did that when it mattered, then maybe our club would not have been lost. It may have made them think twice before selling themselves out. People like myself and my family have been scorned by other EP people for our view and stance, when the reality is we did it for a damn good reason. We loved the club.
But getting through to some of these folks was/is pointless. They still don't get it. Hope they are enjoying the outcome now. Do they know who they are cheering for these days? We will be back when we get our club back. Until then, I wont be an enabler in the alignment and the destruction of the EPFC. I have morals.

As a supporter for 50 years and a member for 25 years i haven't agreed with every decision the club has made but supporting the club as a member to keep it viable is important to me beacuse i can't see this alignment as being forever.Maybe you should take up cricket jardine. You can always take your bat and ball and go home when the going gets tough.

Chaddy22 East Perth league exists in name only. If Swans had got in bed with the devil incarnate I would have walked away because Swans would have ceased to exist at that point in time.

Your like an English officer Swan42 making bold decisions 100 miles from the battle field. There is no alternative to the board as it stands, Bronte is in charge and all our sponsors are due to AHG connections. I'm with Chaddy I support through gritted teeth to try and salvage something from the wreck. And will be very resentful of those that would come back post alignment and pretend EP means anything to them.

You blokes are clutching now in regards to the umpires apology in todays biased Worst Australian ! What a load of horse shit, I work with a WAFL umpire and he saw the report of the officiating umpire and the 2nd goal to Johnson was a lay down maser, the radio commentators even said they were definitely the correct decisions. Sinclair also did not say the umps on the day were disgraceful.

I rarely agree with you Leedy but to blame the umpires for influencing that game is ridiculous. I personally think the first free kick for a little jumper tug out of play is absurd over officiating, the second free kick was soft too but indicative of modern football. But EP had raised the white flag anyway to be objective.

I am with you Larry. What nobody gets is that the only way to change the alignment is to hang tough and influnce change from within.I always ask questions at the AGM.I am sure the board will have to answer a lot of hard questions at the next AGM.Obviously some have walked but if the club keeps making substantial profits someone will ask the obvious question. Can we survive without the eagles.

Agree larry can't blame the umpires for the run of goals.Others tried to shift the blame on the eagles for our capitulation.Dean mentioned a lack of leadership and inexperience cost us.
