If that is the situation how do you explain the 2 or 3 that play in the reserves, seems like a bit of selective processing there!

The other part of is that the restriction is marginally more that it was when the Skipper of PT73 and the Carsalesman brought in players from everywhere but our district.

I don't like the alignment but at least I can see the differences between then and now and frankly I prefer the fact that they cannot recruit and have to use EP developed players.

As for the players who have left and who will leave good luck to them and the clubs they go to but that is their decision. I can think of at least one who went to Swans who perhaps would have played most games in the forward line, but who knows. I think he has made an informed decision and it will be only supported by the test of time.

Just one last point the turnover of players is not anything different to previous years, whether that stays the same we will have to wait and see.

A bit rich for a Subiaco supporter to complain about juniors not having a pathway to league football. Hypocritical would spring to mind Ark.

LB: No hypocrisy here. In the strange system which the Commission has created the G-7 are supposed to have outside recruitment to match the fact that EP has the Eagles players.

Subiaco has recruited heavily for a lot longer than the alignment has been going. Illegally and sometimes legally. The old rose coloured glasses get a hammering on Ozfooty.

LB: the alignment is older than the last two or three years. It has been around on off since 1999. Do you remember your premierships of the last decade? Well, the local clubs could not beat an EP team aligned with the Eagles, meaning Subiaco started to spend money. I remind you again, you have had the alignment for five years all up -- and have made the grand final five times. Some EP supporters on here don't seem to be able to grasp the extent to which the alignment has improved your fortunes. Anyway, LB, I would not worry about Subi's money, because, once again, partly as a result of the alignment, EP has got plenty of quids to splash around the car park we share.

I'm not worried old boy at all. But to suggest Subiaco has been forced due to any alignment past or present to recruit excessively is Bordering on dillusional. But I am converting into a Subiaco supporter in a couple of years so long may it continue. I have a deep knowledge of the EP list and know which kids we should get across to Subi now that most of the deadwood and trouble makers have been sent off to Swans, EF etc.

I'm with Larry here, $ubi having the massive massive financial leg up over the rest of the competition is a huge issue, but that seems to just be accepted now.

And players have not departed the g7 to play in the country for better money or other g7 clubs for opportunities.I think a few swannies went to $ubiaco for better opportunities.

Surely you are not talking about Twomey and Robinson Chaddy? :S

Didn't go to $ubi for the $$money but the opportunity. The opportunity to play in a grand final.

Do you know them personally then? You seem to know a lot about their motivation. Playing in a GF wouldnt be a new experience for either of them as they were both 2010 premiership players

No i don't know them personally but players usually go for various reasons.

1.couldn't get a league game.Doubt that.Surely would be in swans best 22.

2.Spat with the coach.I can't comment.

3.Better opportunities to play finals.

4.Better money.Did swans have the money to match $ubi.

I am sure somewhere in that lot is some motivation to be playing for $ubi and not swans.

LB Did Subiaco beat EP in 2000, 2001 or 2002? How did we beat you last year? We recruited that is how. We finished last the year before that and we knew that the alignment was coming and would have to confront a strong EP side.

It is quite simple. In the intervening years, between your alignments, we have recruited players, because other clubs ie. Cl, SF and SD have won the premiership.
