Did anyone hear Dean Turner on 6pr yesterday night.Karl Langdon. Was questioned about the Eagles situation. The bit i heard was about it not affecting the core players at east perth and development of players.it was a bit ambigious..we are not interested.or.are we going to house  a few players or all the eastern states players.when we did this in 2000&2001 the eagles list was only 38 and only  2-6 eagles players got games.with a list of 44 it will be too many.if the used car salesman tries and sell us this idea then i think it will be time for him to move on and hopefully someione with some vision become president.

Chaddy I did not hear the interview. It is always on the cards that we will take some WCE players given the notion that we need help from outside given our zone issues. Whilst they are not as bad as Perths we seem to think we are in need to bolstering our squad from some where else.

As longs we recruit effectively and not like we have in the past, Ptieffer as prime example from vic and a few recent local imports then we will be ok. Every club recruits and it is the quality of the personnel that is the key and it is not just players that are at issue.

As for Bronte my personal opinion is that not just us but most other clubs owe their survival when he was AHG. The alignment was just a financial decision that still and will for a longtime have detrimental effects. The fact remains that he brings in a lot of sponsorship and therefore $'s.

Might as well change the name and colours to West Coast Royals or East Perth Eagles, what a disgrace, just after the $$$$$$

just got a email from dean turner saying no decision has been made with any wafl club, the wafc or the west coast eagles.and that a decision is weeks away.the devil is in the detail he mentions that 14 players are without a club of origin.what is not mentioned is that draft is a month away and they have up to 9 positions to fill.so that number could be between 14-23.he goes on to say that research says  that a average of 3-4 interstate players will be available  for selection if a single club was to house all interstate players .that  seems a bit hard to beliieve.in 2000 we had two local east perth players and only 11 eastern states players and it averaged about 4 players..

Strongbow and IQ58 i know this is testing your comprehension skills, but no deal has been struck, and  the last time i looked Jeremy Barnard is not an employee  of the Wet Toasters,so he won't be dictated to who he can and can't play,so go make yourselves useful and purchase a couple of poopa scoopa's for your future uncompleted fenceless Rec Centre  ground, which will no doubt  collect its fair share of doggy do.

Before everyone jumps on EPFC this the accurate situation, not dissimilar to PFC's dilemma, so hold ya horses and dumping. If it is true then dump away, hold us to even more ridicule!

Dear Members
I write to your regarding the article that was recently published on thewestaustralian.com.au regarding West Coast Eagles listed players playing in the WAFL Competition in 2022.

No decision or agreement has been reached with any WAFL Club, the WAFC or the West Coast Eagles. All parties are currently in discussions regarding the participation of West Coast Eagles players in the WAFL competition for 2022 and beyond now the West Coast Eagles have disbanded their WAFL side.

Players returning to their WAFL Club of origin is the most likely option at this time. This would mean, that based on West Coast’s current list of players, WAFL clubs would receive the following
•    Claremont – 6
•    East Fremantle – 4
•    East Perth – 0
•    Peel Thunder N/A due to alignment with Fremantle
•    Perth – 0
•    South Fremantle – 2
•    Subiaco – 3
•    Swan Districts – 3
•    West Perth – 4

This currently leaves 14 West Coast players without a WAFL Club of origin. The WAFC has been charged with finding a satisfactory solution that must be agreed upon by the WAFL clubs and the West Coast Eagles. As written, we believe this is still a number of weeks away as there are a number of requirements that need to be met by the WAFC before any decision is made.

East Perth’s priority in the discussions currently being held between the WAFC, WAFL Clubs and West Coast is to ensure our Club is not negatively impacted due to no East Perth zoned players being currently listed at West Coast.

Any comments that this is an ‘alignment’ or ‘partnership’ are simply unfounded. The WAFL competition, as a whole, will be responsible for accommodating West Coast players when they are not selected in the AFL squad.

Initial research has indicated that it is likely to be an average of three to four interstate players each week that would be available for selection if a single WAFL Club was to house all interstate players.

We are committed to ensuring our current playing group has the best opportunity to continue to develop and play at the highest level possible to allow us to challenge for WAFL League Premierships.

We appreciate this topic is a sensitive one for players, members, supporters and staff. I share your frustration that there has yet to be any feasible solutions presented to the WAFL Clubs to allow a fair decision for the WAFL competition, WAFL Clubs and the West Coast Eagles, to be reached.

Whilst we wait for this from the WAFC, we continue our pursuit of improving our list, developing our preseason training schedule and overall improving as a Club to ensure Season 2022 is a successful and enjoyable one.
Yours sincerely
