Just noticed on the East Perth Website Players list - Elijah Taylor from Perth.

I also saw that Ajang Ajang was gone , so maybe a swap?

Well that is an interesting development. I suppose he probably needed a change of space and will add something to our forward line. We will again just have to wait and see what he brings to the table.

It remains to be seen whether the kid can get over his disciplinary issues............maybe ROBBO can become his mentor

I wish Elijah well and have always said he should get a second chance. But, EP fans, is using 10 points on a player like Taylor what you had in mind when you were looking at the sort of players you would need to recruit? I really thought if he played WAFL at all, it would have to be Perth just because no-one else would use that many points. Anyway, good luck to you both. 

He could be as good value TEDDY as the ''bone on bone''knee challenged Chrissy Masten,but give my regards to your M.I.A. mate who we haven't heard from for a while.

Various WAFL clubs have done well with players who have had these sorts of issues & criminal records, WP with Rudi Riddick, Swans with Krakouer & Subi with Yarran, Kraks & Yarren got a chance at AFL, sadly Yarran's story did not have a happy ending but, I wish Taylor well, he obviously has talent so I hope he can harness that talent to a good attitude and behaviour and have a positive impact at the Ferals.

It is an interesting reaction on EP's FB with some not so pleased but most being supportive of Taylor, personally I am not a big fan his past but if the club and more importantly Kim Farmer are putting their hands up and supporting him he gets the opportunity.

Is he worth 10 points time will tell and remembering we still have some concessions in the points total. He was a good colts player and seemed to impress Sydney,

I'm just a bit surprised, Grump, that you picked up Taylor before the AFL draft. Often clubs will wait to see who is available after the draft before finalising their lists. If you still have spare points after all that, there's no issue in picking up a speculative 10 player since the points would otherwise go unused. Maybe it's a sign that there are slim pickings available for WAFL clubs? EP were expected to be a big player in off-season recruiting and I didn't expect a guy like Taylor, who may or may not work out, to be the sort of player you would target. 

Ted I suspect that the club feels under pressure to strengthen the squad with mature players. 

I would always hope that the boys from the colts get their opportunity particularly players like Armstrong who might or might not be drafted. He is  a big strong lad who would fit in very nicely.
