Last forecast was early showers then clearing up by early arvo, so should be ok for a good contest where both teams can display their skills.

We have had a couple of shockers in the wet but we went down to Shark park in torrential rain and got some payback, and have won most games in the wet in what has been one of the wettest WAFL seasons in memory. The wet should hold no fears after accounting for WART in shocking conditions in '14, we were underdogs that year as well.

How they finally run out tomorrow will be interesting, any of the 8 on the listed bench could come in and do a good job but I'm thinking that Kennedy and Sokol may be the ones to come out of the 18 listed on field but It's who Schoey thinks will be the best matchups on the day.

Just hoping for a really tough hard contest with a close result, Subi by 7pts.

BJ there will be plenty of undercover seating given the expected small crowd but best side for cover is on the northern side.

SS not in the upper tiers; they are not available.

True S42, the WAFC can save $50 on the cleaning bill that way.

DD wrote: I think the number of times WART, FART and Peelmantle are cracking a mention on Ozfooty surely these words have to be added to the next edition of the Oxford dictionary?

Well Wart and Fart already being words in the dictionary just needs some extra meaning added....... something like - also used as an acronym to describe turncoat football teams in the Australian rules football state of Western Australia.

love your work DD ;)

Win, lose or draw today, I am very proud of the coaches and players for getting to another GF.
With all the player losses after last year, and then some season ending injuries to Scott Hancock, Kyle Halligan, our only genuine ruckman David Madut, and long term injuries to Delahunty and Kennedy, I have been rapt with how well they played all year, especially when you think they won the second semi with only 11 members of last year's GF side playing.
Last year's team was very strong and I felt really confident with their ability to win the big one.
This year its a team which has worked really hard to finish on top without really smashing opponents like last year's team did at times. Getting back the experienced Subi boys in Broughton and Cockie was terrific, Hamish Shepherd has given us a strong target up forward who always competes hard even if not always getting big tallies, whilst Liam Ryan has been an unexpected bonus and full marks to our recruitment team.
This is a difficult game to pick given Peel's dominant finals so far by a team in which most of their younger Dockers players have had a good taste of AFL this year given the Dockers woes, so I believe they are a far more formidable combination than the East Perth team we played in 2014.
Anyway, lets hope its a close one and that we can do enough to get the chocies!

I also want to thank the owners of this Forum for allowing it to continue to exist and to all the posters on here who provide information, comedy, passion, insight and give us the ability to banter about our beloved WAFL competition.

Interesting, Despite being the away team today Peel have taken the home/Dockers rooms and Subi are in the visitors rooms.
