interesting game this one....on one hand Schowy will want the boys to get through unscathed regardless of the result whereas competition for places will probably mean most will have a red hot crack.. We should see Yaz coming in for Boland but otherwise, no obvious changes unless the match committee decides to rest a few like clanger, horse, lockie and co. with a bye almost guaranteed first week of the finals, resting blokes up this week could be a good thing ahead of a couple of tough games before the regular season end. we'll probably see delahunty in if he's fit as they'll want to get some match fitness into him. tough call for Schowy but he's got it right so far this year so will trust his judgement.

BC I reckon(hope)Subi may rest a few v EF in a few weeks time....good time to give some lesser lights a run.....the way EF are currently rolling, your reserves side would probably win ......with no EF in the finals, if Subi did lose to them there would be no mental advantage lost by Subi.....different v SD or Cl etc....be interested to see what your coach does

Swans record at home is reasonably good this year. 6 wins out of 8 from memory and they will be desperate as it is realistically their last chance. On the other hand Schofield will not want his team to get into bad habits and drop their work rate as once this happens it can be difficult to crank it up come finals time. I expect Subiaco to be really hard at it on Saturday and Swans will have to bring their A+ game to be even competitive.

I think Swans will need to turn this into a battle of attrition like they have in the last two home games against East Perth and West Perth. Ferocious tackling and intensity and giving Subi no space and time to create. If it turns into a shoot out you will kill us.

freez..we've been hit with quite a few injuries this year and have played 38 players in the one's so far according to another thread. i'm not sure how that compares with other clubs but certainly from Subi's perspective it has given a lot of second tier players an opportunity and so far they haven't disappointed. I'm pretty sure the coaches will be keen to settle the line-up ahead of finals so don't think we'll see too many changes over the next few weeks. blokes like wheeler, lockyer, hancock, phelan, kitchin have played almost every game so they might be in the frame for a spell but most of the other suspects such as horsley, menegola, robinson, twomey, rumble, boland, deluca, delahunty, wood, worthington have had extended injury periods so i wouldn't think they'd be pulled.

it sounds like that level of player rotation is pretty standard then...12 local debutants is excellent and SD should be congratulated...I'm not sure how Subi shapes up but dont think it would be more than 8 or 10.

Quote from the clubs website

With the league benchmark of locally sourced players at 70% Subiaco's focus on their talent pathways continues to pay dividends.
Subi have played 38 players in 2015 with 23 of them hailing from their own district zones

thanks DG...it is what it is I guess. I was a bit surprised they gave Greg Clark a run t.b.h given he'll be drafted at years end. probably reward to the young man on an excellent year so far.
