One of the pleasing things about yesterday was the depth shown in the reserves - not just those that have played league this year like Moore, Fetherstonhaugh, Stewart and Kerr but others who haven't played league this year.

Jarrhan Jacky, Matt Bogensperger, Chris Bryan, James Garcia, Craig Hoskins, Stuart Berryman and Luke Norriss who were all prominent. The ball rarely reached the last line of defence yesterday so Declan Jackson wasn't called upon often but he has been very good also. More options for us emerging.

That lad Chris Bryan is a rare talent. He's only played the 3 reserves games but has made the transition well. Just such great cleans hands under pressure and wonderful evasive skills. Must be a chance to play league shortly at this rate.

Looks like Subi may need that depth with Stockleys and JKT injuries......were they bad? Glad to see losing those two boys didn't affect Subi as much as Ugles inju ;) ry did for SD cause.....hopefully Ugles is not long term

Muddy, don't 4get those games Notte played for WCE too mate.....bumps his tally to 129 or 130 at least......be interested to see if another AFL club doesn't give him another go......I'd be more than happy to see WBD give him another go.......whilst Notte would never be your number 1 forward in the AFL he could surely offer the WBD a better target than what the likes of Jones,Williams,Cordy and Grant have done over the past 3 - 4 yrs

Didn't look good for JKT. Has come good over the last two matches. Was struggling before that. Mahoney will peobably be right to replace him but he has really battled poor form as well. Most players can be covered. Not sure Stockley can be with McDougall and Madut injured. Might have to bring in a tall-ish defender like Jackson and use Wheeler, Delahunty in the ruck permanently for a while.

But the depth is sound and opportunity is a great thing.

JKT went off injured at the 29min mark of the last qtr that must have really hurt Subi's run big time!
Good to see you're all over the WAFL still freeze!

glsd to see my posts are still doing what they are meant to do BH......but just for you BH.....I will rephrase my original post......glad to see Stockley's loss and only Stockleys loss, didn't affect Subi as much as Ugles loss did for SD  .....mind boggling how a tight unit of 22 can fall apart at the seams, when one fella gets injured...farken mind boggling!

Freezin they must have especially big wooden spoons over in NZ. I won't go through all the players we lost after the 2013 season. What I will say is that all the supposed experts picked us to win the wooden spoon this season. We are 8 and 2. From our regular team for 2014 we were missing at least Ames, Casserley, C Blakely, A Anderson; which was compounded by the loss of Ugle on Saturday.

touch wood you don't get any more injuries or state reps then 42....SD will be sweet, you know that, I know that and all the other footy gossers know that..... SD have covered injuries/player losses better than most this season....obviously you wouldn't be 8 - 2 hey mate?......no point giving us any excuses now, you boys haven't yet had the need to so far eh?....when's Alby due a debut mate?

You just never know freeze, and injury here, an injury there, an umpire here, an umpire there...it all could just unfairly de-rail the Swannies :(
