Massive effort by Wheels in the ruck after losing Frank and then Della late in the game. Great marking and kicking game from Boland. Yarran and Hampson also looked dangerous up forward. Thought DeLuca's physical pressure was outstanding. Was great to get some payback after having round 7 stolen from us.

Yes big win. Bit of a dilemma there i recon. Clanga is a better ruckman/fwd than he is a backman, Dela is a very mobile ruckman/fwd. I actually recon we looked better when Frank went off. Frank is great but against some sides more mobile ruckmen is maybe a better option? Clanga seems to thrive on a greater workload. Thought Stevo was not much of a backman either but he did ok yesterday. Good to see Jacky do well in the big win in the magoos in his first game back & be good to have Twomey & Mahoney back but looks like we might lose a couple more from yesterdays game. Anyone know how far away Elliot, J Deluca & Davey are?

What a difference a week makes !!! Firstly well done to Swans on a great winning streak and the great crowd.

Last week the Tiggers were more desperate and wanted the game more and Subi looked slow but this week the guy's turned it around and looked good from the start. We also looked to have more speed ???

The in's of Stevenson(who played well down back at Geraldton against the Sharks) Wade,Hilda and Le-Fanu all were good on their returns. The big difference though was the far better games from Hampson,Joyce and waters from last week when they were'nt sighted. Special mention to Wheeler who had his best game because he's been playing out of position and hence has been frustrated. He played state footy as a ruckman-forward and has been put into the backline with the inclusion of the recruits. He thrived on the opportunity of going into the ruck after Sockley went down and played forward from the start of the game. A great move by Schoey and Wheels looked a much happier and effective footballer from the first bounce. Rumble played well again and I thought he tried hard last week. Yarran has given Subi a great option down forward and has been consistant all year. Lathan had another poor game after a shocker last week and may need a stint in the 2nds. Well done to Swans on staying in the game and always looking dangerous. Swans got within 5pts at the 14 and a half minute mark of the last and I thought they'd run all over us. From there on in Subi went on a goal spree and at 21min up by 25pts finally kicking 7.2 to Swans 1 point after the 14 min mark and blew the game apart. The end result was not a true reflection of the game as Swans were much better than that. Great games by Riggio,Elari,Geapin and Davis and well half then side realy but in the end Subi wanted it more and hence the win. 1-1 now for the season I look forward to playing them again.

Subi needed that win more than Swans and I think that showed in the end.

Great effort to win in a great game, think the boys put in a special effort in that last quarter for Bristow just as swans did for Ames in the previous game. Yarren seemed to play up the ground a bit more and liked more like a key chf other than staying close to goals, great game by him, can't believe frank was reported, he was standing his ground and the other guy should have been reported for trying to head butt his groin. This rule is getting out of hand.

Great summation there Chops you nailed it pretty much, yesterday we saw two potential finals outfits going at it and 34 goals in the game was a reflection of the quality, the 2 games between us this year have been similar tussles in a lot of respects and augars well for more potential entertaining clashes deeper into the season!

Good one Chopper, well done to your guys on a deserved win. I don't think the two teams play again in the qualifying round, is that right?

Unfortunately not Mikeh.I reckon your summary of the game was spot on,you always offer levelled comments.Chop, excellent summary also.Agree that Latham needs a run in the ressies.Mikeh, can't believe Notte is only just turned 24.Yesterday was game number 128.Obviously very durable even though he is a bit of a beanpole. If he plays say another 8 seasons,he's going to rack up a lot of games.Enjoyed the free flowing nature of Subi and Swans footy yesterday.A much better spectacle than last week with Claremont when it was very congested.Notice that WPscored only 10 majors yesterday while Claremont kicked just 9.Could be a pattern developing there with Claremont's game plan and one I will watch closely.
