Can't see subi dropping Rhode. I'm expecting no change to settled line up. Been out for coffee in subi this morning and ran into a life member wearing his subi tie. Good omen? 

I'm worried subi people are expecting this to just happen. Souths won't give this up without fighting to the end.
I'm getting a 1985, 2017 vibe about this one. 

This Subi playing group are too experienced and level headed to get too far ahead of them selves, they wont take a GF lightly especially after missing finals last year and Souths are a quality team with an excellent coach who will embrace the underdogs label. Most on here and in the media expect Subi to win due to our recent history but history means nothing on the day with 22 v 22 playing on the same piece of dirt in the same conditions. Re the conditions, it will be wet but the surface will be as good as we could possibly ask for in the conditions, but the footy will be on the ground a lot and I expect Souths may go with a shorter team to suit the conditions, so whoever wins the ground ball clearances wins the game imho. They say wet weather is a great leveller!!
Only have to look back to 2014 when an EP team brimming with AFL fulltime professionals and raging favourites caved in, in the wet to a determined Subi team that were massive underdogs.

I'm worried about south's underrated inexperienced defence. Those young half backers are quick. Strom and Pearson in good good form. Four forward line has been hit and miss. 2 Materas could have a shocker. Martin could go missing in the heat. Golding could be overwhelmed.  We're vulnerable to not scoring much if our midfield get done.  

 

I don't disagree JL but think we have too many forward options to have them all shut down over the course of the game. Sokol and Mayo will likely get Strom and Pearson but then you get Martin, Braut and Brandon Matera on very inexperienced defenders with Maxy floating through as well. Plus if Wardman wanted to make it even tougher for Curley, just throw Delahunty up forward for a period and watch the South backs shit themselves. Our forward line in its totality is very hard to match up on.

Good luck to the ressies as well.  They've had a couple of close ones with Perth this year so should be a great game. 

Yes, go the reserves. They've done it the hard way. Seem to have a good team feeling. 

We kicked 1.7 in the last to Perth's 1.1. It looks like we had every chance but fluffed it a bit.

Well done to the Perth reserves, but stronger around the ball. Borchet a few games away from form. Matt Johnson was impressive. Copped a hard illegal hit in the last. Jack Beverly played well in the last. Brave effort by the subi boys. Great season.

It was a good game but the Demons just seemed to have the edge in wanting the game, nevertheless good effort by your boys
