3 days out and not a lot happening. I would think we'd go in with an unchanged lineup and can't see Ryan Borchet getting the nod after one game in over 2 months. We'll need the bigger bodies of Braut and Atkinson to square things up if the likes of that grub Suban does his usual dog act of whacking blokes like he did with Clanger who already had a broken nose a couple of years ago. Special attention will need to be paid to Parker as if he gets off the chain he could hurt us as he's very good when left alone. In saying that he tends to get a bit excited if given a bit of rough stuff so that could be the first order of business to see how he reacts. Florenca still seems to be struggling with injury a bit and Schloithe is definitely slowing down but will still be good for 3 or 4 high tackle decisions. For us Greg Clark, Marsh, Kitch, the Hickmotts, Maxy, Bailey Matera, Golding all need to take the midfield by the scruff of the neck and shut South Freo down through the middle. It will help us with them being a bit sore after last weekend and potentially missing Main, Wilson on top of the Schlong. Should be a terrific game but I expect Souths to run out of puff towards the end. Subi by 3 goals.

I noticed the club GF package has sold out. It looked pretty good value with lunch, guest speakers, 4 hours of grog and so on. Hopefully there'll be something to celebrate when the final siren goes.

BC your concern about Suban may be warranted, but of course South won’t have to worry about saintly Braut doing anything underhanded will they ????
 

I wouldn't think so Cesspit but things happen in GF's. Braut doesn't have a reputation for being a sniper unlike Suban but if he does take out a couple of the Souths boys with a bit of vigour within the rules then fair bump, play on I say.

All successful premiership teams have had good enforcers to some extent. the great Swans, Souths and Cl teams of the early 80's had a heap of them, even Subi's mid 80's team had a couple. EF had plenty as did WP in the 90's up to 2003. You need that physical presence to make sure your talented smalls/mids can play with some freedom. I like Suban and would have him in my team playing that role, he's there to look after guys like Florenca and Schloithe, Braut is just intimidating to look at and does play a physical game to look after our smalls & mids but not so much of the sniping that Suban or more lately Kane Mitchell have done. 

Promises to be a very "lively" match as both teams will look to subdue the primary movers of each club in Schloithe, Florenca, Shaw and the like for Souths, Kitchen, Dela, Marsh, Sokol and the like for Subi.

I didn't have a whole lot of respect for Suban to start with but when he tried to whack Clanger in the face who was already sporting a broken nose with a protective guard over the top in the 2019 GF, then that did it for me.

I don't think Suban's 8 or so possessions and few off the ball late hits will impact the result much.

No changes in the named squad which is no surprise. Ryan Borchet in the ressies so you'd think we'll go in with the same 22 as the second semi.

Interesting interchange for Subi. I wonder which of these guys will make the 22 given Hickmott, Bailey Matera and Golding are certainties? Maybe they'll bring in Beverley to tag or Faraone as another small scoring option given it's going to be wet.
