Are the Eagles wanting their 3 WAFL one's (2000-02)  they won back?

Also good to see Jacob Atkinson back in the ressies this week after a lengthy spell out with an arm injury. At 191cms and 90+kgs he's going to be handy come finals time when things start to get physical.  On the downside, it looks like Rowan Powell may retire due to on-going concussion issues.  It's a shame if he does but his long term health is far more important.  I wish Rowan all the best if that's his decision.

Yes agree BC, when you watch the incident you would have thought Maxy got the worst of it, but if the Doc's recommend he hang up the boots, it will be a real loss to our mid stocks, big bodied bloke with immaculate disposal will be missed but in the semi-pro ranks of WAFL, it aint worth it.

That's sad news about Powell. Hope he fully recovers. He can't be 30. His height is very useful, gives Subi another way out of defence. It was a sickening blow. Can't remember seeing a worse one live.

Good luck to the bloke.

Well....I certainly didn't see that coming. Firstly, congrats to Swans for gutsing out a very good win. Better kicking at goal probably would have seen an unassailable lead quite early on but in the end I think the correct result prevailed as you were the better side all day.

Secondly, no disrespect to Swans but I don't think I've seen a worse display by a Subi team for a very long time. Missed tackles, not committing to contests, turnovers especially in our forward half and poor choices meant we were on the back foot from the first bounce. I'm not going to single anyone out in particular as you win as a team and lose as one but clearly there's a couple out there today who aren't up to league standard.

Thirdly, Wardman was out-coached. I lost count of the number of intercept marks taken in our forward 50 by Erceg and Notte and Wardman did nothing to combat the plus one or give instructions to slow the game down and look for options other than bombing it in where Sokol was being double teamed. We badly need Borchet back as the high flying alternative but he was in a cast and on crutches today so won't see him any time soon.

Fourthly, to those cretin Swan supporters who were in the front section of the main stand you are a disgrace. As the game went on the language got worse and the general behaviour deteriorated to a point where it became embarrassing. At one time a female in the group accused the umpire of being a "racist maggot" for not giving Jetta a 50 meter penalty then the others chimed in with similar disgusting comments. The WAFL doesn't need low life scum like that lot and given one had a pram, God only knows what the future holds for that poor little sod.

Finally, well done to the umps who I think did a pretty good job overall. Sure there were some decisions I didn't agree with but that's going to happen no matter what. Overall a good win by Swans and well deserved...a disappointing day for SUBI and anyone who still thinks Subi will win the flag in a canter is delusional.

Well done swans that really was a poor effort I would've been dumbfounded if we had pulled that off. Those imbeciles up the front are passionate I'll give them that much

scary BC... I wasn’t at the game but I know exactly who you are talking about. That group are an embarrassment to our club and most of the reason the MacDonald stand remains 3/4 empty at our home games. I’m amazed they haven’t received lifetime bans after the form they’ve repeatedly shown over the past 5-6 years

Interesting game. Good finish. Swans out marked us, out kicked us and in the first half out competed us.

we are lacking in good talls. thought older hickmont stood up in last quarter. Younger hickmont got caught with ball twice. Not urgent enough.

Golding looks a player in reserves. Breman not bad.

Miller should kick long every time he gets it.

I enjoyed bc's description of the feral swans supporters. It's a tough one, on one hand I admire the passion, on the other it is pretty draining listening to endless rants on how the umpiring is victimising them personally.
They weren't as bad as what he described where I was sitting on the other side of the grpund, but still tedious.
As for the game, wardman said in the clubrooms that the score flattered Subi, and this was fair enough. They marked the contested ball so much better and Subi have some weaknesses to address.
But,they keep coming. To get to one point behind after being beaten so comprehensively is a real positive.
