A 5% swing will deliver the Alp Hasluck and Swan.Only during the Hawke era has the Alp won the 2PP popular vote in Wa during a Federal election.1983-84-87.The Lnp have every right to feel confordent about Wa.So we lhave nothing offered to us as allways.Really rude not to offer us some money for Burswood Stadium. And the Row Highway extension to an outdated Harbour that wont be in use in 15 years.%="*_&^/.Seroisly dont getthat 1.

I dont think the current Wa polling is right Grassy. There saying the swing in Wa is 8 to 10 % away from the Lnp.If the Alp is only picking up 5 % of that dont know where the rest of thoes votes are going.??

The facts are there has never been a one-term Federal government post-Second World War. I don't understand why any Coalition supporter in WA complains about things like the GST distribution to WA. Quite simply the Coalition know they can continue to treat WA with contempt as long as they keep returning Coalition members to the House of Reps. In that respect WA gets what it deserves.

They will pick up the new seat of Burt, Hasluck and maybe one more.

I agree with you on Fremantle harbour, the freight link is a complete waste of money, the port was past it used by date years ago.

We need a new Container Port OUT of Fremantle...

yes...you're on the money there Bazza. Pettitt wanted to sell off the harbor land for residential apartments and the like which I think is a good idea. Build a whole new port down in Cockburn Sound and there's the truck problem down Leach Highway and across Stirling Bridge solved. Didn't this government enter into an agreement or similar with BGC to commence building a new port which is still before the courts?

That's correct BC, Buckridge was all set to go, but guess what the MUA and FPA put up every hurdle they possibly could, tied the entire thing up in a legal dispute that ended with the development and lease being frustrated in the end BGC walked away from it , a fair bit out of pocket from my understanding.

Theres no long term future in the inner harbour, the way I see it , the future for Freo lies in a Darling Harbour , South Bank Style development, as you mentioned, harbour side apartment living with a state of the art Cruise Terminal along with pleasure boat marina and tourist orientated ferry terminal for Rotto and the river up to E Q. togther with accompanying Hotel and retail entertainment outlets.

Sounds a hell of a lot more visionary than containers piled 5 high and stinking live animal export.

Anyway I see Bull Shitten is doing his level desperate best to scare the living day lights out of old age pensioners about the faux sale of Medicare.

If you can find any corporation in the world willing to pick up a business that costs $24 billion to run a year and only brings in $10 Billion, let me know...lol

Was watching Sky news this morning. There was the Sky host,John Hewson and some backroom Labour annalist. Not much talk about WA in the Federal Election. The time differnce and the result will probably be known before counting is finished in WA.
Both guests where asked about upsets and both said metropolitan Perth seats which require massive swings to change. The only seats the local media are talking about is Cowan which requires an 8% swing. And Canning and the Sydney soldier that replaced Don Randall.Mr Randall was a good local member.
