Southerner the nuclear power idea. Was the,Nationals idea not Duttons.
Dutton just dealt with the Nuclear fallout,,lol
Yeah Littleproud,  but then put it in regions, but then also be too gutless to go to Collie and campaign for it...btw their vote went backwards in SW.

no-one has been able to find a way to nuclear
because it is far too expensive for what it delivers
and then there is water and how the fuck do you find somewhere safe to store it

Better hope Albo hands out subsidies for solar batteries in the metro areas because electricity will go through the roof.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

DD I'm pretty sure one of Lab's election promises was to provide subsidies for home batteries, something I will be very interested in. Lets see if an Elbows election promise turns into reality.

One thing we know for sure is despite all the increasing power costs, supposed threats of blackouts, opposition constantly blaming renewables and backing fossil fuels, the vast majority of voters didnt buy it and trusted labor to continue on the path of new energy, clive palmer ran a massive campaign and got ignored, so we can safetly say the climate change battle has been well and truly lost by the pro fossil fuel parties, the old scare tactics are not working anymore with younger voters.

SS there was a very good article by Noel Whittaker in the West a couple of weeks ago where he did the math on the battery rebate and said it was pretty much a waste of time as the cost of purchasing the battery and having it installed even with the rebate would take 16 years to recover which is about its anticipated life span.

I too, looked at Albo's grand plan but now don't think it's going to be worthwhile as initially, demand will likely outpace supply and the costs could rise even further.

Read Whittakers article - he is right, I will be in Carrington Street before I got my money back.

Bloke next door is a maths teacher and physics scientist, he's done all the maths, on panels and batteries, and reckons whole thing is BS, will never get money back.

He reckons with sensible power use off the grid with no capital spend  you actually end up in front.

Off grid solutions are easily the best options and have the best storage batteries
and battery tech will just get better and better
what Australia should be doing is building our own battery plants
given our mining stocks it's a no-brainer
