SS there was a very good article by Noel Whittaker in the West a couple of weeks ago where he did the math on the battery rebate and said it was pretty much a waste of time as the cost of purchasing the battery and having it installed even with the rebate would take 16 years to recover which is about its anticipated life span.

I too, looked at Albo's grand plan but now don't think it's going to be worthwhile as initially, demand will likely outpace supply and the costs could rise even further.

The problem is he's only rolling out limited subsidised solar battery systems in remote rural areas probably where supply is less reliable. Not sure York qualifies. But hopefully that's just the beginning and they will eventually roll it out across the country including suburban areas.

The problem as always when governments do this the retailers and manufacturers up their price.
