For us that live in the real world and not in alternate universes there is a clear agenda in Australia and it is driven by our educational institutions and the ABC.

The ABC in particular with its left wing preoccupation of their world view is revealed in its coverage of almost every policy issue.

The systemic nature of bias at the ABC and the view among ABC staff is that the left-wing world view is so moral and so perfect that everyone who holds a different opinion must be ill informed.

A healthy democracy is one in which the universities and the media allow reasoned debate from  BOTH sides of the political realm.

In Australia the fact that the Tax Payer Funded ABC presents only the left wing progressive view of the world is inherently dangerous.

The ABC says it wants diversity, but the most important diversity is diversity of opinion.

The ABC lost the ability to debate over 10 years ago. It seeks only to censor and control viewpoints to ensure its own view of the world is what is presented.

The reality is that former ABC employees have become Labor Party and Coalition party politicians.  The reality is the ABC per the medium of the programme Media Watch critically analyses its programmes, articles and presenters.  Where is the critical analyses of Murdoch media's programmes, articles and preenters?

The ABC seems to have become a man hating corporation dominated by women. Over the Christmas holiday period they had a chick doing the finance report and I thought fuck not a male in sight. Thank farrrk Alan Kohler has returned but by looks like Philip Lasker has been shoved aside to slowly complete the female clean sweep. 7.30 report is female dominated even when Leigh Sales is on hols her sidekick Laura Tingle slips in the chair.

The only other bloke I see on either program these days is that queer looking bloke with the strange curley hair do. I can’t quite make out what he is. Men are on their way out, they can’t say boo for fear of being accused of something terrible.

Is this a quiz show? I'd say Q&A has had several hosts, a red haired sheila springs to mind. No not Leigh Sales. Would you mind answering my questions if it's not too much trouble your Royal Highness?

Hamish McDonald is the host of Q and A. Paul Barry hosts Media Watch. David Speers hosts The Insiders. All flagship ABC shows. All males hosting them. Yes there are a lot of female reporter's/hosts on the ABC but no more than on commercial channels IMO. 
I think the point here is that we all look for evidence to support our opinions and conveniently ignore facts that challenge our views

The real flagship shows on ABC are ABC News and the 7.30 Report. Both female dominated. Q&A has had several different hosts. Tony Jones I thought has been the main one who was the host of the 7.30 Report I thought. Did he get shoved aside to put women in the chair?

It is really funny to read the same old arguments being rolled out abt bias at the ABC.

The real issue is that like it or not (and obviously lots on here don't) the world has changed, being different is no longer a sin that requires absolution, there are folk that don't accept the viewpoint that Stokes, Murdoch et al sprout or that 6PR and its ilk over east provide fair and equal news, that bias is a real issue whether it be women, minorities or for wasps and the list goes on!

The problem from where I sit is that the pendulum has swung to far in all media outlets, in social commentary. Appeasement is the current fad, the academy awards, and yes the ABC and Sky both have increased the female presenters as part of the process, you just have to pay attention to the 3%'s increased air time to see appeasement in all of its glory. 

BUT the underlying fact is rightfully or wrongfully the world has changed and you can either move with it or rail against it and it is obvious that many don't like it as you are fully allowed to do in this country unlike others around the planet.
