I personally think it is a brilliant time to start. Only problem is that the players will probably spend the night slipping and sliding on the dewy grass. Will possibly be just another ho hum game. 6 goals 10 to 4 goals 12.

I tell you who did do the heavy lifting was the Qld Gov they went hard for it.

Unlike McGowan who was totally disinterested.,

I disagree Baz. Mac G was interested, but under our terms and bloody good on him. Last thing we need is a bunch of slobbering sicktorians spreading their disease with us.

I'm sure eagles and dockers fans dont see it that way.

Disagree again. As an eagles supporter, I would have liked to see it here. However, under the circumstances, I’m pleased that we didn’t get it, the risks are too great. Time for the press and the pollies to build a bridge and get over it.

58, McGowan could save one of Bazzas family members from drowning and Baz still would find a way to blame him

I will stand corrected on this but by late October it is usually pretty hot in Brisbane so I think that it won't be as dewy in the evening at that stage

Thanks for correcting me mike, I hope you’re right. If it does get a bit wet, maybe Anna’s budget will spring for a bloody big air dryer.

Although Ihe was half hearted about the whole thing, I don't really totally blame him, more the VFL (AFL). In saying that, think of all the people that would of been employed GF Day in Perth ! Massive opportunity lost.
