Interesting to say the least. He’ll want to know what he’s talking about or he could end up with the proverbial egg on face. Still, having seen it before, I suppose he sees some similarities. Interesting to see what unfolds.

Exactly the type of coach we need and I want BC. Suma at the moment is a football commentator not coach of Fremantle so he is paid to give his expert opinion. When and if he becomes Fremantle coach then obviously making such remarks would be uncalled for. I think Suma will lay down the law at this club and leave no one unsure where they stand. He’s shown the ability to speak his mind and be critical when he thinks it’s warranted. It will be a great thing for the rivalry of these two great clubs and really spice up the derbies to another level.


Suma is clearly still dirty on not getting the gig at WC and that’s a good thing. He’s got the fire in the belly.

Just read Sumich's comments, they are weak and have no evidentury basis, it's just Sumich stating his opinion based on what was happening back when he was playing, so maybe we can blankly assume he may have been into that as well, just allegedly of course because like Sumich I have no proof that any number of Eagles players are cheating with their samples.

I thought it was a bit ordinary to be honest as well SS. Here's a bloke aspiring to be a senior coach and he's taking pot shots at another club. He's entitled to his opinion but in my view should be a bit more prudent on the way he espouses those views. If he got the Freo gig it would make great fodder next time they met in a Derby.

I’m the other way on this one BC. We are all complaining about political correctness and sanitising the game and where have the characters gone? I think good on Sumich for having the guts to give his opinion. In my view that only strengthens his case to be the next Fremantle coach.

John Todd and Mal Brown always spoke their mind and that usually ruffled a few feathers. Maybe Sumich is doing the same. You can put your house on it those comments will come up in the lead up to the next derby if he gets the gig.

You may be surprised to know DD that I more often than not agree with you but in regards Suma being the Freo coach I would rather pass on him. I find his communication style laboured reminding me of Mark Harvey type communication. Mark was terrible in interviews and i often cringed when listening to him talk. We don't want that again
