So far so good for Freo. If they can land Kersten and Marsh, this would make it the best trade period for them for a long time, if ever. Hamling would be the icing on the cake although I can't see how they could get him without a high draft pick or player swap.
I heard the other day that Cam Mccarthy was born on the same day that the Dockers played their first game in the AFL in 1995, so maybe he was always destined to play with Freo.

Just on Marsh apparently Mitch Brown has requested a trade to Victoria. Would make sense that him and Marsh are involved in a straight swap. All three Brown's would be representing Collingwood then haha

Also I have been thinking about how we might be able to get back up into the draft.

It seems pretty likely that we will trade pick 35 for Shane Kersten.

We have pick 43 after that would that be enough for Hamling, considering he is coming out of contract?

If Ballantyne heads to the Eagles I think pick 52 was spoken about in heading to Freo.

We would have picks 52, 61 and 70 something.

Michael Barlow is being looked at by the Gold Coast. Could be package Barlow, those picks and one or two other players to get the Suns picks 22, 24, 26 and 30.

Wishful thinking I know but it would be nice.

I thought Ballantyne was staying at Freo? One can only hope.

As I said a few weeks ago HB or his manager, had painted themselves into a corner after HB asked for a 3 year deal and was offerred only 1. His manager then used the fact that they were talking to an interested WC, but WC wouldnt give him 3 years either, so he was left with his original deal. I cant see WC, even though they are seeking a small forward, advancing to a 3 or even 2 year deal for him. I think he stays at the moment.

Marcus Adams apparently wants to head home. Was on AFL's live trade talk blog. Adams or Hamling. I dont think we'd be able to get both.

Apart from the Kersten deal which you would think is close to being finalised, I think the Dockers next move will be trading a player or two out.

Either one will do. Adams is contracted though love to get both, key positions in the back line would be sorted for a fair while, looks like Lyon is going for a quick reboot the good thing is the players we've recruited are all young when he said strap yourselves in earlier in the year I reckon he meant this trade period.

Yeah i wouldnt mind Adams at the Eagles, the Bulldogs wont let both go so reckon the Dockers will end up with Hamling,as you say PN Adams is contracted. It would cost both WA clubs too much to get him imo.

Apparently Fremantle have ruled out pursuing Marcus Adams and Jon Marsh who both wish to return to WA. Can't understand this unless they are confident of getting Hamling although a bit of depth doesn't hurt as was shown in 2016. The Eagles have got a lot of defenders so if Adams and Marsh come home they could be playing WAFL
