Straight swap, Zac Clarke for Joel Hamling would be nice

Tim English would be ideal but he'd have to be a ripper for a big bloke to get picked that high, especially a ruckman.

If I was Freo Id be looking at the best state league ruckman that is between 19-23. One that's had a couple years of development hopefully played 30 plus games and we could pick up later on in the draft.

IMO, 2017 will be Sandilands final year before he retires, Jonathan Griffen is getting on a bit and isn't the answer and well yes Zac Clarke needs to pull his fist out not just his finger.

None from the WAFL come to mind, Brock Higgins from South Freo is a good big man but he is 27, Freo should look at Darcy Cameron from the Tigers but he is more a forward. They may need to cast the net wider to look at that age group.

Darcy Cameron would be nice but yes more of a forward than a ruckman. Look in Victoria, South Australia see if there's anything worth picking up there.

This trade would have to be freo's finest hour at the trade table, past history we have given up lots for very little in return. Finally a massive win for freo. To only drop 4 spots in the draft and pick up a quality forward whose 21 and receive extra picks to put us in a strong position to recruit another key position player.

Yes this is a great deal, I didnt believe it would happen when it was first mooted but hats off to the negotiator. Certainly gives us some currency to trade further.

A good deal for the Dockers assuming that McCarthy can deliver the goods. He has been out of footy for 12 months so he will have to put in a big pre season.

From what I remember seeing of him he is not your power forward type but I don't think you necessarily need that. But he's probably a little quicker because he's more lightly built but he's got good hands and a very nice kick and knows where the sticks are.

Mayne deal is done. Mayne has scored himself a 4 year deal, a great result for him and a super result for us. The second round compensation pick will be pick 23 which will go to Hawthorn for Brad Hill which effectively means its a straight swap B. Hill for Mayne. I reckon that's a big win for us. Will miss Mayney's hardness and work rate but it wasn't just his goal kicking that was off his use by hand sometimes let him down but Buckley must rate him highly and perhaps they are missing the qualities he can bring. Good luck Mayney and welcome Brad Hill.

McCarthy kind of reminds me a littLe bit of Jack Riewolst.

Also Jonathan Marsh wants to come home for Personal reasons. Read the statement on the Collingwood website and the club seemed that it would do it's upmost to get him to a WA team. Maybe a late draft pick could get him to the Dockers.
