Hamling is out of contract so the Doggies have no bargaining power what so ever, Freo can grab him in the PSD if they wish, I don't think it will get to that stage third or fourth end pick , ditto Kersten who is best mates with him.

As stated Hill for the Mayne compo pick which looks like being pick 22, I've heard they may send pick three to GWS and upgrade it to pick 7 and 15 and McCarthy, didn't Lyon say Clarkes future is with Freo at the Doig, he's had surgery so hopefully it will fix the problem with his knee it will be an interesting trade period.

Looks like Ballas is staying according to Brad Lloyd. He calls it all "noise". But no doubt Ballas or his manager has put the feelers out there but WC hasn't shown a lot of interest.

Lloyd also thinks Zac Clarke is likely to stay. He would want to pull his finger out. The clock is ticking.

anchorman wrote: Yes mike, interesting times ahead the next week for sure.Probably the most important trade period for the club ever.
It would be nice if we can get all we want, but we have to be realistic and think we can get a few.
I would say that Hamling is more than likely out of the picture after his finals series. He was out standing playing on Rioli and Franklin.I don't think the Doggies will let him go cheaply, if at all.
Kersten I see as being a player who will offer something up forward.Black MMM maybe. Couldn't crack it at the Roos even when Waite went down. Not sure he would cost much.
We will get McCarthy, not sure at what cost. But he will be very handy.
It seems that Mayne will earn us a second round selection, which we will more than likely hand on, maybe for Hill.
Barlw will hold some power I would think.Clarke... not sure. And what will the Eagles give up for Ballas. Will they play hard ball! They certainly don't have any players we need from them, other than McKenzie.
Yep interesting week ahead for the club.

Didn't bother me if he went or stayed as long as we got something for him. His best is behind him and he is prone to injury because of his style of play. If he stays then I hope it is only as a small forward and they stop using him in the midfield where he cant sustain the effort needed.

Yep most Eagles supporters didnt want him there, nothing wrong with that.

You also obviously havent heard a lot of the Dockers supporters around the place that thought when he was a monty to join the Eagles they reckon he was cooked as a player, his best well past him.
So maybe that sigh is you lot keeping him

Welcome back(even though you didnt go anywhere) Hayden the Dockers supporters really do love you

Well things are starting to fall into place. Cam McCarthy is now a Docker. It cost us pick 3 for pick 7 plus pick 34 and 72. I would say we have done pretty well there. There was a lot of talk about midfielders dominating the first 5 or 6 picks so maybe Fremantle is not looking to add to its midfield instead concentrating on talls. I will predict pick 34 will be given up for Kersten and our 2nd round compensation pick for Mayne will go to Hawthorn for Hill. Don't know how we are going to get Hamling from the Bulldogs.

He's uncontracted DD so if the Bulldogs want to play hard ball he can always walk to the PSD, I don't think it will come to that if he really wants to come to Freo I would of thought a third rounder would seal the deal.

It seems like Zac Clarke is likely to stay otherwise it makes us vulnerable but gee he would want to pull his finger out. We might get a third rounder for Barlow plus I think that is our original second pick. So we could end up with 2 third rounders.

Looking ahead to the draft I think a long term successor to Sandilands would be on their minds. Tim English from South Fremantle would have to be under consideration you would think
