The bye has come at the right time. The comp needs a strong WP but with struggling wins against last years bottom 2 clubs followed by 2 goals in 3 quarters against an undermanned Subi things aren't looking good.

Hopefully Keitel can help them improve on last years 6th place

The comp needs 7 strong WAFL teams C-V, not just a strong WP or SD, an even, tightly contested comp will bring more through the gate, 4 games in and no undefeated teams, that's a good sign and 3 quality contests this weekend which can go either way, SD v EF, SF v Subi and Cl v Perth which will be a close contest with Perth really showing something last week without getting the chocolates but a great chance to open their account against a miss-firing Tigers. Swans on a role against an underperforming Sharks who can beat anyone on their day and match of the round down at the Port.

And forgot to mention the AFL reserves derby, lets hope they beat the living suitcase out of each other with heaps of reports that the tribunal can ignore and heaps of annoying frustrating long term soft tissue injuries.

Bit over the top don't you reckon hoping for injuries. I know its probably tounge in cheek but its not the players fault that the WAFL is in such a mess.]

I too am glad this weeks is a BYE (although I will miss not watching the boys play)
Previous comments I found interesting

2 goals in 3 qtrs: Agree this is not ideal and smacks of either bad delivery, forward failure or opposition brilliance - much to be worked on

If you're gonnna get into a skuffle either 'win it' or 'get over it' ... more to work on

Bit of a tupsy-turvy win / loss for almost all the comp so far so likely too early to tell who's who to be honest in the rap up to this point, besides a teams body language, current play structures and whos able to alter the dynamics of a games play making...its still up for grabs

We cant afford to fall into last years bullshit backward playing style - continued kicking to a wing that has it belted back from ((insanity is judged on doing the same thing the same way over and over again expecting a different result)-and we need greater effective ball movement. Just a little home work for the Bye

I think your over reacting Growler to what was a hard game played in difficult conditions and Subi just handled them better. 10 minutes from the end we were still in it with 7 points the difference. No need to panic yet but it appears some are after 4 games :(
Leedy gets on the Subi thread and says WP will be lucky to get in 5 etc.
Jesus give the team a break. We will certainly be in the top 4 but looking at the eveness of the comp and the difficulty in picking the winners week to week it will be a good season for the WAFL or should I say the G7 clubs.

One thing that concerned me with the selectors the selection of Rotham in the league side?
He has only played 3 Reserves games with stats of 7 14 16 and got 8 in the league.
Manzone must come back as he was brilliant in the reserves with 20 stats up to half time and I did watch the game and he played a good game. Hard at it and did a lot of 1 percenters.
Hate to say this but Crispy and Razor have dropped off.
Others worth looking at are Chalmers and Wilhelm who are playing excellant footy. Why they promoted Rotham puzzles me. He will obviously develop and improve but Only 3 Reserves games in his senior career?
Players should be picked on merit and as we have seen in the past it isnt happening.
A couple of the league players should be dropped as well as not performing.

Manzone is a must against Swans that will be a ripper of a game after our bye ..Like the dreaded milestones byes arent good to us either. :(

REPORTS FROM ROUND 4

Seems like a lot of angry pills were taken on the weekend but put it down to the weather where players get tired and lose it bit when they become frustrated.
Shit if this keeps up the WAFC might make a profit this year

hahha ;) I appreciate your views Cardy as they are always thought out and usually without malice or mischief
But once again we disagree :P

The team broke apart after the 1st Qtr and frustrated many with their reversion back to last years messy inconsistent play
I am sorry but I still am not happy with what I know call excessive possessions and little result ....
Yes there is little reason to panic but regards depth I would like to know something regards Crispy and Razor
Why the drop off in passion and desire???

Seeing a change in some play structures and transitioning from the center could be a good thing

Regards the Reserves I rely on the coaching staff
A step up from the reserves is like WAFL to AFL and no disparage on the [players - its just the heat and flow and speed of the game and judging good reserves players is not an easy exercise by any means - but I also differ to your considerations here CARDY ... time to tell if any of these boys can make the next step, and given the current stocks your choices could very well be a good mix.

Lucky our boys are only likely to get a fine - suspensions would have really mixed things up every where......

Thanks ASTRO for you compliment to Bill... Appreciated.
I am of the opinion that some of the WP supporters should really take a good look at themselves. Our team runs on to win games and they dont put in 2nd efforts.
Fark we are acting like a lot of whingers of the highest order :(

Growler you talk of step up of the players. I players am talking of are not stepping up from WAFL to AFL and that is an extreme comment. Now Manzone one of who I spoke of has played League and well up to the standard. Callum not a problem as are others.

Drew Rhode,Luke Meadows and Lynchy didnt have a problem coming up and have played well. Why because they are a part of the senior list and the transition was not a problem.

I appreciate your comments Growler but like some others you have made this Subiaco game a benchmark where it was no where like that. It could of gone either way and the score reflects that.

It is about time WP followers learnt to move on from a loss. If we beat Swans or EP opinions will change dramatically. That is the way of the WP supporter follower.

Subiaco game is over and we lost but I assure you we will learn and improve.
Subiaco posters keep talking about their outs.. for their POOR performance but we have key players out as well including Marcus Adams and Jordon Jones. These players will return and we will improve with their inclusion.

I suggest WP supporters stop making excuses and leave the decisions to the Coaching staff at WP and the great committee we have. The Red and Blue will persevere.

If you dont like it jump across to Perth who's supporters thru hard times still follow their club. Ok they have their say but are still following their club.

It is a shame that I seem to be the only one supporting the club and REMAINING POSITIVE on this website. I know there are a few out their that dont post who would agree with me in that we have to support our club Win, Lose or draw.

The sad thing is I actually had to make this post... :( :(

17 point loss...whoa.2 from 4. Plenty of time in the season. I still think the Tiges will make it and they are o from 3.
