I thought Cary had gone.
Maybe wrong.
Zac Clarke quite rightly still on the wish list.
Would cap off a great off-season.
Leggett out and so too Ninyette (not finalised yet but likely).
And according to the AGM maybe a couple more to come.

Training with the rehab group. Probably why you haven't seen him. Serious long term knee injury

Okay, my mistake, I heard he had gone back to Victoria.
Obviously my informant was mistaken.

I reckon we’ve gone backwards. Jones, Leggett, and Ninja were in best 10 over the last 3 years. Masten makes up for Jones (maybe?), but who makes up for Leggett and Ninja (among our leading goal kickers over the last couple of years)? Murphy and Richardson were not household names at Claremont. The rest are unproven. A mix of colts and cast offs, with two interstaters who come from leagues which, probably in the round, aren’t as good as the WAFL. On top of that we missed out on McInnes, who would have been a solid addition and weren’t able to convince Tropiano to come back. Hardly a recruiting story - so far - to write home about. Clarke seems an outside chance. Where is the improvement to our forward line or back line. What about the midfield? Is it going to be better? The spruikers on here are heavily medicated.

Why are we accepting that Leggett has gone? I know Peos said he wouldn't play for Perth, but is that just bluff and bluster? If the arbitrator does his job and upholds the contract, Leggett surely wouldn't sit out a year of football. He may go interstate, subject to clearance, but otherwise, if he wants to get noticed by AFL clubs, he may need to swallow his pride and play on. Both Leggett and the club need to be professional about this. So does Peos and EF.

Otherwise, I unfortunately agree that too much has been made of our recruiting, and if Leggett has indeed gone, I think, on paper, we are slightly worse than last year. The only way we will improve is if Delahunty and Stubbs can have immediate impact and that is an unknown quantity.
