I agree we will get shafted up the clacker yet again just like we did with Wellingham.

The reason these guys don’t want to come back to us is solely based on us finishing on or near the bottom of the ladder year after year after year.

These guys get drafted when we are crap and finish there AFL careers years later and we are still crap.

With Wiley on board to help with recruiting this will help with trying to acquire McInness if he is let go by the Eagles. Carlton have delisted a ruckman or 2 since the end of the season so hopefully Wiley is already on the phone trying to get something done in this space.

That will perhaps be where Wiley’s strength lies, not in player contacts but AFL club contacts, ex player contacts and player manager contacts. That’s where his name and reputation will potentially carry weight.

Wiley got Watson to EF who was a good pick up.

Other recruits in his time were Boekhorst (Wiley connection??), Loersch (not sure the connection there) and Kommer.

Not a bad haul. The latter 2 were after a 3 win season so that's pretty decent. You'd think Wiley would've played a big part.

Jansen, Snadden and Griffin also returned during that time as ex-EF players.

Maybe recruiting is his go

It looks like the Eagles have delisted Fraser McInnes so he is now automatically once again a Perth player if he returns to the WAFL.
Over to you Uncle Robbie.

Yes a critical moment in our "redevelopment".
Will test our resolve and desire.
Possibly our most important re-listing ever.

What? You must be kidding surely DF? Take a look at his stats, hardly flattering. The amount of time he’s been on an AFL list he should be dominating the WAFL. The fact he’s never dominated in the WAFL is why he only played a handful of games over 7 years. I think he’d be handy as a back up ruckman and talk marking option up forward or down back if we are undersized down there. His value might be if he can bring one or two former team mates with him.

Sorry disagree DD.
He is a one point player.
A tall forward back up ruckman.
Still need to spend points on a tall forward and a ruckman.
His form in the WAFL has been good.

Yes, the key here is that he is only a 1 point player and a tall back-up ruckman and forward. But we need more than that. We need a 60+ goal kicker who can lead and/or take contested marks and who brings small forwards into play as well as kicking goals himself.
Do you not think he would be a value recruit? I would rather see him playing in red and black than any other colours, especially Subiaco.
We will have enough points in the bank for a 10+ tall key forward and a 10+ ruckman with some left over for an inside mid and a tall defender.
