And Eyres has a habit of being clumsy and costing us like he did late in the game against Peel. FFS sake if he's more than 5 cm taller than me I'll go he and I'm 184/5cm.

I don’t care what other ruckman are doing at other clubs.
We need a ruckman that can do much more than win a ruck tap.
Someone that can take that telling mark down back, drift forward and grab a pack mark,be that link man.
Eyres is not that ruckman.

I'll probably get shot down for this, but I've been saying this all year. Eyres to be trained up as a forward target. He can actually take a good mark and obviously strong enough to bring the ball to ground for smaller forwards. He wont get out marked often. Eyres to pinch hit only in the ruck to help out DBW. Add another key forward recruit and another midfileder with good disposal skills and we wont be far away.

Nup!
If he can’t take enough marks around the ground how on earth would he mark the ball as a key target up forward?
Has had stints forward and not for me.

We need a KP forward that is a specialist in his field, can take a grab and kick goals.

That will not cut it PD 1899. We need a KP target up forward who can take a contested mark or on the lead and who can deliver 60+ goals.
What you suggest, with respect, would not deliver anything better than what we already got.

I agree that the main KP forward doesn’t have to be a giant but he does have to be a genuine Full Forward.
You have to look no further than Brenton Cooper and on the flip side of that he came from outside the second tier competitions (Ovens and Murray league I think it was),100 goal Full Forwards are still out there we just need an astute recruiting guy that can recognise the next Cooper that’s out there.

Also whilst the FF doesn’t necessarily have to be tall I believe our CHF does we need a tall marking KP as a lead up target.

30+ there would be 100+ goalkickers in the WAFL comp currently still as well and possibly even amongst the young Perth forwards but it is the coaches of today that dont pursue or allow it with their bullshit defensive minded coaching.
If the game plans of todays WAFL/AFL coaches continue on we will never see another 100 a year goalkicker ever again!

You are probably right re coaches game plans and the most frustrating things they don’t change it,there’s no let’s go to plan b.

I do reckon though genuine FF are exactly that there bread butter kicking goals and more often than not they can’t play anywhere else like Brenton Cooper but that’s ok as long as they keep that scoreboard ticking over and the obvious thing the delivery coming in has to be good.
