The mindset of a true FF is a selfish one. He has to be totally focussed on making leads and demanding the ball and when he wins it is totally focussed on kicking a goal. It almost goes against everything a coach tells the rest of the players about being team first orientated.

Chris Maguire was a classic example. Our last true FF who kicked about 72 from memory in 2004. You wouldn’t put a dime on him if he was a race horse if you saw him in the parade ring but the bloke knew how to lead, take a mark and go back and kick a goal.

On the stats we should be throwing everything at trying to get Corey Gault or Eastland from Claremont.

So STD you hate Subi for recruiting players from lowly clubs but your happy to encourage your mid table club to try and poach the bottom clubs best big man, a tad hypocrital?

Did you or did you not say that Perth should try and get Gault from Swans who finished deadset last?

McInnes is unlikely to survive on WC Rookie list for 2020, not sure what the rules are re ex AFL players, they picked up Brady Grey last year so not sure if they can keep McInnes, you'd hope he'd be in the Red'n'Black next year if that's the case

As I understand it McInnes is a Perth player when delisted by WCE as he was originally drafted from the Demons. He would need a transfer to play for any other WAFL club and Perth would demand the maximum fee applicable. He would be a handy one point player for us.
Brady Grey was not AFL drafted from a WAFL club so WCE signed him to their WAFL team under the terms WAFL laid out for their top-up players. It would be a sin if the WAFL changed the top-up rules to allow WCE to keep him or any other ex WAFL/AFL player in their reserves team.

Frazer loves the Dees and if delisted by WC i would be confident he will return to us. Would not want him as our new forward we are talking about but as someone said - he would be a very good 1 point player. WC reserves 10 points down with 10 minutes to go. So he may be finishing up very soon with WC
