Shouldn’t matter what he wants DD. The rules are in place and returning to club of origin is what they state.
So what if he spent 7 years as an Eagle? You get delisted and move on like everyone else. You aren’t drafted for life.

I guess one also could argue Baseline that McIness isn't a Perth player for life either simply because he got drafted from Perth as a youngster....if WCE want him let them stump a tsf fee for the guy then....considering his age and lack of AFL success....14 games over 8 years...I'd say 5-10K should cover it.
Thank fark Wiley has left EF, I reckon EF would of recruited him considering their connection....waste of 12 pts and 10K TBH....not sure what 10K could get Perth anyway...

Freeze he isn’t a Perth player for life, but is supposed to revert to being a Perth player upon being delisted. Whatever happens from there is up for negotiation and clearances.

Even if the WAFL approve McInnes to stay at WCE reserves instead of return to Perth, surely money will be exchanged....or is that crux of the issue here, Perth won't receive any compensation

Crux of the issue for me is that any player drafted from any WAFL club to WCE, should automatically return to club of origin upon being delisted.
Somehow the WCE seen to continually redefine the ‘rules’ to their own advantage.

Particularly disappointing from an equalization point of view.
Exactly one of PFC's requirements to lift themselves is a key forward.
Here is a chance to get one that is a one point player and allowed to be recruited by an AFL club's reserves side full of them.
Doesn't seem fair to me.
WCE have also been allowed to play a senior player that would have been a 12 point player to anyone else.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
I shot the fukin sherriff!!!!

There is a possibility that Sam Garstone wont be at the club next year due to increasing work commitments in the country and Cody Ninyette as been approached by some clubs in South Australia.

IMO Garstone won’t be a huge loss. Struggles to stay on the park and has minimal impact when he does.

Freeze its not always about money. For Perth, it's 100% about on field success and a good forward with AFL experience that only costs 1 point is invaluable to the faithful that starve success. Honestly, I wouldn't except $50k for him.
