I think we'd be up in arms if we found out the club had a "don't hold players/coaches to contracts" policy. Once you decide that its ok for one player you have to say its ok for all. That's what a policy is. The club is right to hold a player to his contract, no matter the $ on offer. If you don't you're giving a signal that the club can be bought.
There is also claims from EF that the contract is "illegal", which is another issue. I think the club is right to force this to arbitration and it's also right to argue this is about policy and procedure and not 1 particular player and how much is on offer for him. If it's true that the club no longer wants this player it's beside the point.

The "Bush and 'Burbs" in the West says that Horan, Thompson and Shaun Smith are moving on. No great loss but does affect our depth. It also says that Narrier "may" leave due to work commitments at Clontarf. I find that strange, given that you would think Clontarf would accomodate staff playing footy, and that Narrier would have more credibility and be a better role model playing a higher level. Still, as others have said, he is no great loss going by his form last year. Hopefully some colts can step up and put pressure on league players. Regan Clarke does not appear on our senior or colts list. Anyone know why?

Gordy’s job with Clontarf is in Northam.

Thanks, Dazzler, that makes more sense. Disappointing he didn't fulfil his potential, but I wish him well, good job for a young bloke to get.

Ted those players you mentioned don’t fit into the squad IMO. We have new recruits and colts boys to fit in. Just natural attrition that clears the transition paths. I think that you you will probably see a few more when the final cut is done. Leggett and Ninyette still on it.
I have noticed Reagan Clarke is missing from the list. Can’t see why but he will certainly be on it come round one. Maybe Dazzler knows why. There are some recruits not yet listed and no numbers allocated yet to DeLahunty and Stubbs.
I am sure it will be sorted out over the next few weeks.

As far as I know, Regan Clarke is on the wafl.com list under Perth.

Reagan Clarke is on the list on the WAFL website Smokey. Choose Perth and filter. Delahunty and Stubbs are not, maybe something to do with managing the 40 list but I’d say they are signed under contract already.
